The shot at 3:07 is wild. Your hands come in at normal speed, but the printer is on a Timelapse. Great compositing work
I thought the same exact thing for the shot right before it at 2:51 crazy edit so clean
my thoughts too@@MaximusTheChosenOne
Exactly! that was really well done. What an amazing idea, design and execution.
Ikr!!
So is that for 4:49
It's bonkers that individual creators are now producing content so polished, technically adept, and thoughtful that it unquestionably surpasses that of most established media.
I know it’s so awesome
I enjoyed reading this; it was well-written - you don’t see that too often. Well done.
you know what else is bonkers? this comment
you dont see comments like these every so often now
...yeah, I've been dying for a completley useless product that solves a problem that doesn't exist and now I have it!
@@scottrunge4077 you clicked on the video and commented though, didn’t you?
Your creativity, aesthetic, and craftsmanship have tapped into something I haven't seen anyone else come close to achieving. I'm come back many times to rewatch your videos and draw from your design and taste. Thank you for sharing this 🙏🏼
Don't let Apple hire this man they don't deserve his work and masterful skills. ❤️
When we needed him most, he came back.
true
Hell yYahh
Serious talent this one has!
I was literally thinking about him the other day
@@dowhilegeek happens 😂
So good how do we get one?
it comes with every interview 👀
Damn its colinandsamir and barely any likes, ello :D
surprised to see you two here
@@rayatmidnight Anyone who don't live on internet don't know about these sleazeballs.
@@recursion. it’s spelt “great guys”
Not only is this build really cool, but this is a really slick bit of filmmaking. Love it.
Yep! The algorithms definitely work. Earlier today, I ordered an old Macintosh Plus chassis with the intention of building an insert for my Mac mini (I've seen similar projects before). And now, only a few hours later, this video pops up in my feed. Great video! Thank you for further inspiration.
Sure, we all saw the composite at 3:07 with his hands coming into the timelapse. But, don't sleep on the transition between the two different versions of the 3D print for the Mac Studio and the Mac Mini at 4:48. So subtle it looks like a practical shot. Elegant!
or that in 1:34
This video has incredible edits around the 3D printing, it's really great work. The sequence starting at 2:40 is probably one my favorite from this channel, between the shot around the printer while it prints and the hands coming in as it finishes printing… beautiful.
I noticed that and if I didn't edit I wouldn't have understood what he did! So cool!
The printer looks serene and at time great to explore ye :)
프린터는 고요해 보이며 탐색하기에 좋습니다. :)
Those supports tho... give me the creeps
How did he do that truck-pan camera movement during a timelapse?
@@secundariosi4358 Just watch one of his videos. The video is 'Tools that made the cut in 2022'
The videography and editing in this is at such a higher level compared to anyone else
Insane bro - notifications on and membership unlocked. I cannot wait to move and get set up to make again. Your journey is such an inspiration.
thank you so much! i appreciate that :)
The shot at 2:40 is so cool. So much creativity in both the project and the making of this video. Awesome work!
The shot at 3:05 is pretty sick too!
Beat openheimer 😂
I can't even imagine how many hours it took you to film this to only make a 7 min video. Absolutely awesome job. Look forward to the new apartment!
The 3D printing alone probably took 3 days
@@Q974 on tbe X1C (printer he’s using) the speed is actually really impressive. I’d say it would bathe take 8 hours to print the main body as a rough estimate and then 3-4 for each drawer. 3D printing is getting so fast nowadays
I have a broken Macintosh SE and have always wanted to do something like this with it, by putting a modern system in it, etc. So this project is especially cool to me, and it turned out amazing with the iPad and Mac Studio. You're a legend!
Loved that you showed modelling then the video of the 3D printer actually printing it. The creative process and filming of it was really cool to watch!
the cinematography....my god you're SKILLED
Dude- such a sick project. Did not expect to see myself on the screen when you turned it on haha
Good luck with your move and the membership launch man! Very exciting times
i saw your stream and was super shocked lol. also great work on your videos, love them. super inspiring! :)
sickest crossover of all time 🤙
Surprised me too, in a good way.
@EvanMonsma MAN U are e piece of artwork
just subcribed
ITS EVAN!!!!!!
I really love this as an example of the creative process. Coming up with wild ideas at first then just going for it and making something partly related.
the moment I saw you draw that Mac silhouette in the other video, this idea has stuck with me since then! I'm really glad you decided to bring it to life, I haven't had the ability to do it myself and it's really cool seeing it in real life like this.
That transition at 3:07 is clean! Chef's kiss!
Excuse me. You dropped this 👑
Amazing video. I would love a mac mini version of this. In my opinion, the height of the mac studio design is just perfection, would really like a version for the mini that is as tall as the studio design.
This is so cool! I love the old macintosh body shape, it somehow pairs so well with the crisp resolution of the iPad
I have almost no words. This was an awesome video from the design process, the cinematic seamless editing (OMG), and the project result. I've actually been here since the first Mac mini video, I believe (maybe the video before), and it's crazy to see how much this channel has grown in terms of editing, style, and subscriber count (I think the first count I saw was like 90k).
Keep up the amazing work and inspire people like me to get more into stuff like this!
I was suprised by how well the aesthetic of it fit with your desk. I was thinking the box size to stand out but the shot with a youtube video playing sold me!
Great editing, great design, great functionality all around. A tribute to the original Mac, but focused on your needs. Can't imagine the amount of work it takes to do all of this and then just sum it up in 7 minutes.
Scott!!! Awesome video you are unlike so many who are applying ways to combine tech to work together and still be use separately. The video editing must have taken some time, but it comes across seamlessly. Thank you for the video and I wish everyone well.
DAMNNNNNNNNNNNN
One of the best tech-creative vids I've seen on TH-cam. There's so much going on it there. Complementing any part risks neglecting the rest that took much time & effort to make perfect. The composition is layered in multiple directions/contexts. Just the vid itself is a multifaceted artwork, before even considering the things that take place in it.
Brilliant, your ideas and spatial thinking is inspiring, thanks for showing us a beautiful blend of engineering meets imagineering
The rap from 1:16 is from a Turkish parody rap song called "Mekanın sahibi", and the full line of that is "You are windows, im macintosh" as in you are inferior im better lol
The song got released a couple years back and it completely made fun of and changed the Turkish rapping scene when it came out, seeing it in that split second brought me back many years. Thank u for that Scott
Valla aynısı oldu
No lie, my friend, I am Turkish too, I too had listened to that song and witnessed these words. 5 years after the release of the song (I remember it was released in 2019) it's a nice detail that this TH-camr used that part of the song, he was probably listening to the song at the time. 😅
I was also looking for a comment similar to yours, to see if anyone else noticed this detail. The name of the rapper who sings the song is Norm Ender, this is additional information. 😁
bana da :)@@kadir6411
🇹🇷 🇹🇷 🇹🇷
Unbelievable stuff; craftmanship, ideation to design, the cinematography - all the shots in the video. Perfect content, thank you for creating it.
Oh my, the editing of this video is probably the best I've ever seen on tech youtube
This is such a cool project, and I love that you made it available for your members to download and print.
He came back, and better than ever.
Giving Evan Monsma a feature on the iPad!

THIS CONTENT IS IMMACULATE! 🔥 the project, setup, lighting, audio, voice over, camera angles, editing and that ending/credit scene is chef kiss! 👌
I still remember your beautiful 3d build for the iPad mini and Mac mini, so portable and useful!
YOOOO!! I’m so happy you’re back bro. When I saw the x1c I started freaking out. It’s so crazy because literally hours before I saw this I checked the channel and was like “damn, I hope scott uploads soon” and I woke up to this masterpiece of a video
1:17 fun fact: that song "Mekanın Sahibi" is from Turkey by Norm Ender, he is saying "yo guys are windows, and we are macintosh (translated)"
TURKEY MENTIONED
@@toucanroombas ahahaha what is an economy
Love it!! Makes my build look like a total hack, I placed a Mac Mini inside a Macintosh Plus and used an old Ipad First gen as a Display panel
Looks great, loved seeing your brainstorming process
I like how each video you post has bonkers quality in all areas. Every time you vanish for a few months and then drop a bomb. Interesting concept, great visual style, consise and captivating storytelling, smooth editing and invisible cuts, lighting, music, sound design, fancy details (like the 2:37 best printing timelapse i've ever seen), engineering, execution. Even the youtube membership you've just dropped is pretty useful for those who want STLs and details.
Congrats on the new Carbon and apartment, can't wait for the next video!
I'm a developer. But now I wanna learn modelling and 3D CGi (not really), but your content's production quality just nucleared my mind.
dude your videos are actually insane. I cant believe the caliber that you create your videos at. This is so so so so good and I cant believe we get these kind of videos for free.
I... NEED this.
Then You've to make a video about this.
It should market its model and sell it, for Mac Studio and for Mac Mini, even at a low production level.
ok but HOW is he so creative, intelligent, smart, well-spoken AND handsome?
because he's Asian, duh
All in one package. 😄
Illuminati bio engineered replicant
OMG! Dude, you have my ideal work setup and desktop! Incredible masterpiece and design thinking!!
Second video I've watched from you now
I'm in LOVE with your style. It's perfect, straight to the point, no bullshit and everything only enhances the experience
The attention to detail in your designs are S tier, and it's the kind of quality I would expect seeing from world-known companies with expensive products.
The ejection button and gently lowering of the iPad, headphone holder that pops out, exchangable drawer designs...
All of this done by ONE guy.
The color variations shot sold it. You LITERALLY have the design mindset of apple. Robust, clean and it just f*cking works.
Let me repeat. Apple design quality done by _one_ dude.
3:06 I LOVE this shot, it’s incredible
that is one of the best usecase i have seen for 3d printing. SO COOL!!
On a VFX dinosaur from the mid 90's and I'm so impressed with the quality of content and depth of talent that younger generations are producing. It almost feels like a slight to call them simply "creators"!
You ALWAYS ROCK it out the park! I cannot say enough how much I LOVE this!!!!! I also am putting in a yes for the Mac-mini !
I love the project files!!! Thank you so much! ❤❤❤
Dude your editing has gotten insane since the upgrade videos, keep it up.
Wow, I just stumbled upon this video. This was so sick! From the editing to the execution and idea. This channel and this guy is awesome!
Your quality, time and effort put into this is impeccable. Time to binge the rest of your videos!
why isn't that a real thing
Seriously. Legit product.
It is…he just made it 😂
@@b00573d right 😂
If you mean as an actual Apple product, it's a very niche product that honestly doesn't have much going for it except for nostalgia and cool looks.
You could just make your own by 3D printing the parts
@@alttiantila aren't cool looks like what apple makes apple nowadays?
The Project and the Video are amazing!
Aside the Macintosh Studio (which was pretty insane), this is the most beautifully filmed and edited video!
Absolutely amazed by this project 😍
That’s sick!
This is incredible
Bro! You have mastered these videos, It is so cool to watch! I love it, and your original ideas and designs are fantastic, very inspiring
You are extremely talented. This kind of content isn’t really my sort of thing usually. I wish I was a bigger tech head but still really impressed by everything about this. Enough to subscribe.

I must say, the camera work is absolutely breathtaking and your editing style is utterly mesmerizing!
Amazing! Such a neat idea. As an iPad mini user, I love to see the little dude getting love from awesome tinkerers! Love it!
Good to see you have a real printer now. The x1c is amazing.
The ender 3 isn’t a real printer?
The 3d printing shot was INSANE, loved watching the build!
The editing on this video was glorious 💗💗
that is an amazing design ,thanks you your good job!!!
The ending time-lapse shot is fire as always.
10/10 video!!! Great project and outstanding video production! The creativity and effort really shine through.
The transitions!!!!!!! Like when you are removing the prints how synced it is 😮
Wow, this video is amazing, the way you are editing, all shots, all effects, I haven't seen anything like this. Instant sub.
for the mac mini, don't have a button, use a horizontal slide that pushes underneath a lever, and the lever pops the iPad up. 2 components and slim form factor (don't even need a hinge in the design, just limit the lever's travel in its designated slot)
Probably one ot the most underrated tech youtubers. Keep up the good work 🤛
Can’t say how cool your content and visions are. Keep up the great work.
Wow. This is awesome. Such a good job man!
