While some people may not consider epson top tier, the value you get out of them is fantastic. I've been running a 5040 for 7 years, and ran a 5030 for 5 year prior to that and they both do a great job. I use the 5030 for an outdoor setup in the summer time now.

I know you said you have everything in Home Assistant but if you could do a tutorial on the integrations you used to do it that would be awesome! I think your previous screen was Silver Ticket, which is what I have now. My DIY masking panels were a HUGE game changer for sure. My next upgrade will be screen, likely a Seymore with the add on masking. I’m curious if the panel material is transparent? Does it fully mask? My DIY panels are foam with black velvet. Can you see disc menus with them up?
While I am still super happy with my screen, I always wonder if it limits the image quality? Good to get your opinion, especially with you coming from the same screen I have.

I dint think I have ever seen the room with the lights on. I especially enjoyed seeing the room. Love the new screen and the masking panels.
      A couple questions please:
Curious if you find the height of the carbon chairs in any way impedes the imaging and sound stage coming from the surround and back channels as the speakers are at lower height than the back of the chairs. I am looking at these chairs but am concerned about the height.
Also, I noted you filmed the introductory segment of the video in a Dutch or canted angle. What factors motivate you to use this filming technique over a traditional straight on angle?
How do you like the Vicoustic diffuser panels? Also, do you find the quality of the bass traps from Acoustimac to be good? I have looked at them for some custom sized panels.
Any plans for a MadVR to compliment the new projector, new screen and Kscape?
For what it’s worth, I agree with you on your point about how most people won’t be able to see the difference between the true 4K projector and e-shift. That said, I find it interesting that Epson for some reason continues to resist a native 4K approach. Perhaps it’s simply to keep the cost down.
Thanks for the details. I’m looking forward to your review on the Trinnov processor and amp.

    • @hatoraidcowboy
      @hatoraidcowboy  23 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

Sorry for the late reply Rob. For some reason I could not reply to your comment until now in the app.
I like trying to angles and different shots. The dutch angle is cool if done correctly. Just trying to expand my skillset.
I have not found the height of the Monza’s to interfere with the sound but I only have 2 chairs so my right side is not being obstructed since there is no chair there.
Love the Vicoustics. I really need to get more to make them more beneficial. Acoustimac panels and bass traps made a HUGE difference the moment I integrated them years ago. I’ve been a huge fan ever since.
I am supposed to get a MadVR Core in 2025 to review. I am looking forward to that.

The transcript provided is highly repetitive and verbose, often reiterating points or over-explaining details that could be streamlined in a scripted version. Based on analysis, here's an assessment of its repetitiveness and potential for reduction:
      Repetitiveness:
Reiteration of personal satisfaction and emotional connection: The speaker frequently emphasizes how much they enjoy their theater, how it surpasses commercial theaters, and the satisfaction of building it themselves.
Detailed technical descriptions: The speaker repeatedly goes into detail about specific equipment, setups, and processes, often elaborating on points that could be summarized.
Redundancy in process explanations: Steps taken to build or improve components, like acoustic panel installation or DIY solutions, are repeated or overly detailed.
Frequent references to past decisions and upgrades: The narrative revisits how things were done previously compared to now, often restating information.
      Potential Length Reduction:
      Original Transcript: Approximately 15,000 words.
Streamlined Script: Could be condensed to 4,000-5,000 words without losing core content, cutting the length by approximately 65%-70%.
      Key Changes for Scripting:
Remove Redundancy: Eliminate repetitive mentions of satisfaction and emotional connections. For instance, describe the emotional connection once and then focus on the technical details.
Summarize Equipment: Combine detailed descriptions into concise summaries. For example, group speaker specifications into one section rather than describing each individually.
Focus on Highlights: Prioritize key upgrades and achievements rather than providing exhaustive details on all components and processes.
Structure with Purpose: Use a clear outline (e.g., Introduction → Equipment Overview → Build Process → Challenges → Final Thoughts).
Trim Anecdotes: Retain only the most impactful personal stories and minimize long explanations.
      Benefits of Scripting:
Improved Clarity: The scripted version would focus on the most engaging and informative content.
Audience Engagement: A shorter, well-structured script would maintain viewer attention more effectively.
Professional Presentation: Conciseness and structure lend credibility and professionalism.

No matter what that screen size doesn't justify this kind of expense. Sorry to say but it's an amazing theater but the $/inch isn't there. For a screen that small.... That's really small now for a projector. I'd much rather get a TV in there.
If one will make this kind of investment you should have a screen at the very least, at minimum 130" 16x9 or 140" scope.

My suggestion would be to go in walls on the front and that will free up some valuable screen real estate. You have an amazing room but it's a lot of investment for a 110" screen is what I mean.
Personally I'd get a TV and forgo the PJ. Much superior image quality. Forget what anyone says " but then it's not a real cinema experience ". It is. A TV can be dialed in to give you better contrast, colors, blacks and brightness than any projector will and what makes it cinematic is the film itself. A film with grain and all will look cinematic. I've seen many movies on my TVs and not once did I say oh I wish I was watching this on my projector. The only thing my PJ has over my TVs is size (145" 16x9 equivalent) but other than that I would take a 110" TV over a 110" PJ any day
