I've heard that Banana Guard was supposed to be a common enemy for PvE mode and that by the end he was almost as polished as a regular fighter so they just finished the job, if that's the case that kinda softens the blow of prioritizing him over other better picks for the relaunch
I hope that's the case and that they didn't waste any real budget or effort on making him a character, because I love Adventure Time and I think there are other characters from Adventure Time that would be much better picks as fighters. I would be pretty annoyed and disappointed if they were looking at the Adventure Time cast for potential fighters and they genuinely picked Banana Guard over someone like Ice King.
Well anyone can show up. It's not about only having the most popular of each show or movie.

Banana guard is like a piranha plant addition…I love it.
In the trailer there was a pentagram that looked like something raven would use and it was purple so the community has been speculating that she’s up next on the list
also getting comic book / cell shading style skins for all characters. they showcased it in a tik tok and a dev confirmed the outline comic look was a skin and not the new version of the outline option in settings

In the Discord the devs did say that parry won't replace neutral dodge, and that it needs to be timed right to trigger a parry, but the channels they mentioned those specifics in are gone so I don't blame you for being off. I'll be reccomending this video to my friends, it covers everything well!

This is awsome. 3:40 what's wrong with Banana Guard being in the game. 4:07 , 4:08 are these two aren't even warner brothers characters.
The only thing I love about Banana Guard is that he looks like a perfect counter to Hyper armor characters like Superman, Shaggy, and Wonder Woman.

2 stages, dash attack, 4 characters.
Some dodge changes.
Woopdie fricking doo.
The character changes: they made characters more reliant.
A few new cosmetics. a with the sound of it, lackluster pve mode.
And thats it.
2 years for that. Im still going to play it.
Its going to be amazing.
