Ingenious: Travel Edition is THE Travel game. It's for 2 Players and has board where the tiles cannot slide down, even when you accidentally bump the board.
I agree with Sea Salt and Paper and Scout mentioned earlier. Also Trails, Aqualin, Lost Cities, Vale of Eternity, That’s pretty clever, anything from Postmark Games, Battleline
Thanks fellas! For me, this is really timely as I'm travelling to Phoenix in early Feb from the UK. Draftosaurus looks perfect for the plane tray. I'm a very nervous flyer and Sea Salt and Paper has a calming effect. I'm really keen to get a few rounds of Rhino Hero going on the plane tray...

I'm packed to go this weekend, and I am taking Bandidos, Rebel Princess, A Gentle Rain and a solo one for me - Cartographer's Hero's Quest. Games are great ice breakers to meeting people of all ages.
Love some of these picks, I have Draftosaurus and Village Rails and think they're both fantastic. I love small box games that are great for travel. I always have Kariba (small simple Knizia card game that takes up little room from Helvetiq), Odin (another Helvetiq card game), Startups (Oink Games card game), Tinderblox (Tiny little tin dexterity stacking game) and Vaalbara (great card game with elements of set collection and play similar to Libertalia) in my gaming bag. I also have the Azul mini, which is a great example of reducing the footprint of a larger game without sacrificing much for most players (it won't be suitable for people with mobility issues for example). I will say I'd have expected at least one Button Shy on here, if nothing else because with their 18 card wallets they're basically the definition of travel game.
Arboretum, hive, port royal, oh my goods, that's not a hat, citadels (the old version), Azul (without the box), Carcassonne, regicide...all of them are in my opinion better, sorry😅
I was waiting for games you can play in a car with the driver ! or very little boxes like Sea salt and paper , pixies, silver and gold pyramids, No thanks ...

We RV camp a lot and always bring Azul mini, Fluxx (usually nature), Codenames, and Scout!
Sea salt and paper, Scout and Llama are three that travel well. I also like Mountain Goats.
Deep sea adventure and most button shy. We usually bring jaipur too
Sprawlopolis, Love Letter, and a Deck of cards.
Skull, coup, snatch are all great compact games that are easy to learn and fun to play
