I don't understand... It is mandatory for teachers to take attendance everyday, wouldn't the investigator see that the students were in fact in class? Plus, if the students were to be coming off the bus and into the house, I am pretty sure the neighbors would be suspicious and be a witness, but they weren't. Another thing is if the lady drops the kids off late every Friday at school then more than likely the Principal would either complain about her not being able to come in on time with the kids or request a new bus driver or whatever the case may be.

I'd sue the ever living CRAP out of those parents who coached their kids to lie! I promise they would be bankrupt if not also in prison!
Frightening. It's risky to work with other people's children. You may find yourself falsely accused of a heinous crime, or shot dead by an on-campus lunatic.

what I don't understand is why would the woman want to accuse her of anything in the first place? There's something fishy about this.
Maybe because she does not want to admit her daughter was sleeping with her boyfriend or whatever.
The woman, Margie Grondin, plus three or four other parents involved in the case won a multi million dollar settlement after they sued the daycare. And there have been reports that the kids involved, later on when they grew up, said that nothing happened to them and/or that they were coerced. Take what you will from that.
We should start a go fund me for this woman!
I have done a little further research on this case. What I want to know is what the **** happened to Margaret Grondin, the mother who coached her daughter AND other children what to say to police? 14 years taken away from Ms. Smith. Does Grondin get off scott free with no consequences? I am seeing red right now.
Head Start should sue that lying woman too. It seems she made up the whole thing to make a profit out of lawsuits. Her mistake was not checking Nancy for alibis. Nancy simply could not have driven the kids off that day and abused them, even if she had been so inclined, because she did not have the opportunity. The records show she dropped them off at school as usual.
I'm sorry I know she's signed a waiver that she couldn't sue the state but the state truly needs to be held responsible for this because they put her in prison for children being coerced and parents being idiots and realizing that they had a good bus driver that would never hurt them.
