This was simply a video for counselors to help them understand things they may not have had experience with so they can be better practitioners. Many years ago the American Psychological Association said that kink and BDSM are not disordered behaviors. If you do not like it, you do not have to watch. If you are a BDSM practitioner, I strongly suggest looking for a kink-aware therapist.

The timing of this video is no coincidence. Thank you. I admire your courage to speak on what you feel is important and you feel needs to be discussed, regardless of some people’s reactions.

Thank you so much for putting this information out there for therapists. A therapist that is not prepared to hear about this from a client can unintentionally make them feel bad about it. Keep up the great work!

    Dear Doctor Snipes,
As BDSM'r, it's amazing to see the progress on psychology in the multiple realms of being a human being. One of them: the pleasure.
It's great to hear a professional perspective and I'd wish such important topics were free from taboos and open to a mature discussion among adults. Sexuality it's one of the cornerstones for any society.
I follow your channel as an amazing compliment to psycho education. Please keep it up and thanks for all the material and support you offer all the followers in all topics.
    Greets from Germany.

@@DocSnipes Please don’t feel pressure to take the video down because others may dislike the video. It is much needed to hear this information from a clinician.

I would only add that though BDSM practices can be used to build a relationship there are many non-sexual relationships built on this structure. The stress on the sexual aspect is a little heavy and commonly heavy. Also many people in this community build their own family constructs with and without sexual connotations especially because of the taboo nature and lack of understanding by the general public similar to the way many in the LGBT+ community members do. Thank you again for covering this. My struggle in being open with the therapist I have had is that I feel like I spend 3 or so sessions just educating them on my own tab, so that they can treat me. More interviews with willing BDSM practitioners and alternate relation styles persons would greatly help those in the profession. Thank you.

As you're talking about new people looking into it all. The most important thing I saw is finding the right match at first, and communication is key. The other thing is a safe place. I was not sure what type I preferred at first. So don't be afraid to experiment with your tastes.
Weird to hear Master servant. Though, in a way, it is. I'm used to saying master slave or ancilla. Rules, preferences, looks, ect. Harsher than daddy Dom. Though you will see a range in all types and subtypes. But that gets back to working hard to filter or find the right match. That even goes to normal relationships also.
You kind of danced around one thing I was looking at. Neuro chemical imprinting, the drug effect as some might put it. Pavlovs human. Though, I didn't want to steer her into bad when testing some of it. So she was in safe hands.
1:01:17 Long term it is not all sexual. From learning to dance or serve food and drink or even how to sit or such. Not everything was sexual. Also, as you went over some. It's not just about the sub knowing a Dom, but it is both ways for healthy.
1:07:31 degradation is a type. Not for a lot of people and more so a good and bad way to degrade. My slave I could call anything and typically used animal like or such. I.E. a type and style the sub is basically looking for. Also goes back to try to pick a good match.
My questions you might not be able to answer. Animalistic types, do most of them play through the spectrum before settling on a favorite? ( I.E. Hucow, pony, pups, puss puss's, piggies, ect. ) puss puss and pups and princess/baby girls seemed to be a type and piggies and hucows and pony kind of go to another type. Just something I noticed when I had a gathering spot. Almost like levels of how hard core or soft the types are to play around with animalistic types.
One weird thing. After so many years and knowing how good the person really was. I find myself a little triggered when normal females use slave as a bad term for marriage. They really don't understand the types, dynamics, the levels of mutual care, ect. I know a big part of that is the long time together imprinting me in a way.
