Ever consider putting the plush toys in a claw machine? You could put the hight sign on the side of the claw machine. Then move the arcade game somewhere else. Then put the claw machine next to Ronald. Nintendo sign can go on top of the claw machine. Mc kids sign could hang over Ronald. You'd have more floor space where the plush toys are too.
The Vectrex is one of the best! Playing games with the overlay and the lights off makes the experience. The overlays will make the background have a color and it really adds to the ambience. They are still producing games for this system too. It’s wild to see that much love for a system over 40 years old. Definitely one of my favorites of all time!

I’m trying to find an old super Mario world strategy guide magazine that I got years ago in a grocery store and it wasn’t Nintendo power or Game Pro. It had a grey border around the front of the magazine and was $29.99 back then. Can anyone help me out and point me in the right direction on where to maybe find a copy? I would put that thing where Michael had it hanging behind the bench. that is a cool background for anyone taking pictures sitting next to Ronald. but, then you'd have to put up something on the outside of the glass as it wouldnt look too attractive seeing a blank white sign. so cool though!
Another common issue with fluorescent lights is the ballast going out. Had to replace one on an old Crown Royal advertising clock I restored years ago. The issue now is ballasts are also becoming difficult to come across, many people are converting fixtures to LED so there is less need for them. I would be hesitant to convert an expensive item like that to LED.
you have no idea how much my soul just got crushed, i used to have that exact same nintendo lamp, still worked and everything but times were tough and i ended up selling it for like $750 ten years ago... i really didnt want to sell it because i knew it was incredibly rare due to the fact i couldnt find any info about it online. hopefully the guy i sold it to still has it and has taken care of it
Those fluorescent bulbs aren’t hard to find at all. Go to a shipyard, take a look at the light fixtures they all have one. They’re updated LED bulbs now too last longer.

I would consider putting the Mc Donalds hamburgular sign partially behind the Mc Donalds bench on the floor. You don't really need to see the hamburgular's whole body.
you can have the playspace sign next to the door but change the sign to read 6ft (or whatever height the door is) his finger was pointing perfectly at the top. i think it would add a bit of humour to it.
Hey Rick love the place and the McDonald sign just some advice paint everything that’s holding it the same color of the walls so all you can see is the sign
I just got one of those Vectrexes. Get the PiTrex cartridge and a Pi zero for it and you can emulate arcade classic from Atari, Sega, etc, like Asteroids, Battlezone, Tempest, etc.
I would push the bench over close to the play choice game and stand the play place sign next to the door. Like you need to be 4 ft or under to leave. Lol
Everything looks great. Personally I would paint the supports for the McDonalds sign the same color as the wall so it blends in better for McDonald Land
Ya gotta paint the wood to match the wall so the mcd sign doesn't look bad. Maybe paint the box behind the sign with the neon transformers so just the M stands out.
I would relocate the arcade cabinet by Ronald to the corner that has the cabinet where Mario is standing on. You'll have two cabinets together creating a mini arcade corner. Place your 4ft sign under your current McKids neon sign. To fill the space the cabinet took, I would put a McDonald's toy display. Preferably a Space Jam toy display to connect the McDonals spot to your current Space Jame shrine.
There are plastic LED bulb replacements, you will most likely have to "retro" fit it as we call it at work. Cut out the ballast, power lines to incoming power and neutral to incoming neutral. Boom new LED fluorescents

Don't hang the 4ft sign, keep it grounded. It was designed and intended to be on the ground, it looks unnatural being hunged.
I put LEDs mine with a diffuser. Looks a lot better, less hot, and will last forever.
