Great stuff in those two pieces!! Your life sounds really busy! It's probably a good idea to take time to relax, even if it's structured time like in "The Artist's Way".
Lovely portrait, and I'm glad to see you take a well deserved day off. You work hard at art, and everyone needs a not doing much in particular kind of day sometimes.
The painting next to you is magnificent. It’s really all poetry. I adore. I share your need to rest. Painting is work. A great job that we love, but a job. Create videos to feed the “TH-cam” machine, too. It's a job, in French we say: "un mal pour un bien" (evil for good) which is added. We must protect time for our artwork and we must know how to keep time for ourselves, to do us good. It is important ! Thank you for sharing this reflection with us. Rest well and come back here when you feel like it.
Thank you Eve, for the compliment and for sharing your thoughts about the topic as well. I guess finding time to rest is a lesson lot of people have learn and I'm happy I'm learning it now. ,
I can relate a lot to this. It is hard to strike a balance between creating from pure inspiration, and having the business side of things on your mind. It can be very stressful. I did find the artist dates very valuable, I need to do it more again. I hope you have a lovely break! The paintings behind you are gorgeous by the way ♥
Thank you for your kind words and for leaving a comment in the first place. Because of you doing that, I discovered your channel which to me is full of interesting content!
It is always a good thing to reflect on what you are doing, how you are doing it and why. The first portrait is great, colours are spot on. Like the "coolness" of the colours. Second portrait also brilliant - the light and colours reflect summer lighting. Take it easy, Anna - everything in its own good time. Great video!
Hi Anna/ Anna Maria(?). Thanks for your video and the honesty you provide. Just a number of remarks that bubbled up during your video: 1. don't apologize for making a shorter video; to be honest I like it more than the longer ones, unless you are actually showing the painting process. 2. Thanks for being so honest, to show the other side of the coin of being an artist... many other channels show a nearly perfect artist life and don't show that being an artist is hard work! Being an aspiring artist, it's good to see this! 3. you say you have nothing to show in this video as an artist/ art business. I understand what you are saying but still... I think showing that as an artist, taking care of yourself and your (mental) well being is super important, is absolutely relevant! It's part of being an artist too! Rounding up, I'd like to say: thank you. Please keep on showing this side of being an artist too and for what it's worth, I thinik you make great art.
Thank you for your feedback! I find it very valuable! I must is quite a relief to hear that this shorter video provides value to you and to others as is reflected in the other comments as well. I guess I just think people expect a video full of variation with lots of new projects and paintings to share. Apparently I am wrong. This again is a proof that overworking things is not necessary at all.
@@annamariavargiu Precies!
Incubation time is just as important as producing time. Congrats, your work is inspiring.

Thank you, Rene. I'm glad that you understand and that you like the process of the portraits so far!
