"Oh I've only done this a few times," you say, and out comes beautiful work. You follow up with a crisp, clear, friendly demonstration of good judgement, good tools, and good skills. My dear Helen, YOU ARE REMARKABLE and so is your art. Thank you for making such wonderful videos - something else that exhibits your good judgement, good tools, and good skills. REMARKABLE!
This was wonderful - the thing I love about your paintings is a wonderful graphic sensibility, that wouldn’t be out of place among some kinds art deco work, so I’ve always imagined your paintings as prints. It was great fun to watch you seeing them the same way. I’d love to see how they worked as lithographs, but that’s just a wee bit more complicated…
Very interesting process, I have been always curious of how these lino-prints are made. Thank you, Helen, for explaining it so clearly. The results are mesmerizing to me. ❤
I remember making linoprints in school ( ages ago) and I strongly remember just being so confused , for some reason, what to scrape away and what not and halfway through getting lost and changing the areas I shouldn't scraped away xD it was a right mess .. I think I said it was on purpose and said oh it's abstract 😂 . Having the print in colour and as linol is really cool , it makes it look so different even though it's the same picture.
I really enjoyed seeing this! I've always been curious about how this works and this was so informative. Maybe I'll give it a shot sometime. Absolutely beautiful prints too! Thanks for sharing your lovely work
Theses are beautiful Helen - Thankyou for sharing your process ❤ Especially your little framed prints - they should ‘fly off the shelves’! 🤞😊 Which frames did you use?
Helen, you keep showing us amazing artwork. How do you do it all!?!?!?!? Where would we go to purchase any of your artwork? I too have dabbled in the carved rubber block designs but on a much smaller scale. Good tools make everything better (not to mention the talent behind the tool☺) Wonderful episode, thank you very much💞
This was an interesting process. Thanks for taking the mystery out of Lino printing. What a time saver that press must be! Is that a standard item or did you have it custom made? Your prints are fabulous!
Thanks! Yes, the press is brilliant! I linked in the video description to the company I bought it from - it's a standard item, but they do all sorts of colours and sizes.
Super! During the video I remembered Lino cutting at school ( my octopus was in school magazine) & with similar tools,in teenage years, making a donkey from fruit wood that I was proud of. My creative juices run & I must stop myself delving into another craft! What are the frames you use to mount your cards called? Success with selling them too! Thanks

Thanks ever so much! I've not had a go at lithography yet, but should probably avoid it for now, as I've got rather a lot going on!!
It was fabulous to watch your process. There's more to it than I thought too. I'd like to have a go at this one day. Lovely job Helen. ❤
Hiya! I don't know if it's the 'proper' way of doing it, but I'm happy enough with the outcome!
Turned out lovely and I am sure the linoprints are very popular at craft markets and will go down really well in the gallery
Thanks very much!

I agree she did a great job walking us through this process. I haven’t block pointed in 25 years. I might need to try this again!
Thank you!!
What a fabulous idea! You're so damn industrious Helen. I love it 😊
Haha, thanks! My dining room is showing the wreckage of my 'industriousness'!

Thank you! I use 'box frames' which have some depth to them, from The Range.

The frames are box frames, which have a bit of depth to them.
