Great mod thanks for sharing, now I’ve found a perfect place to place my auxiliary light and keep it out of the way of having to remove if on crash bars etc.
Late comment... i have almost finished mine.. I wasn't after a spotlight, more of a 'worklight' that sprays light everywhere so cars can see me, especially when I am out of the urban areas. So I ended up with a cheap Kings 3" worklight. I put a small toggle switch in the 'small phone' storage above the USB outlet in order to turn it off at night and got power of one of the ACC ccts.. The light draws 1.2A so that is sweet FA. The only thing is that now rain, mud and all that good stuff will find its way behind the headlight as the cover no longer fits.. I am still thinking about that one.. Cheers
Cool idea, but I see some caveats. You have investigated if your new light won't overheat inside. The aluminium part that it sits in, is a heat sink for the main lights. Now it is significantly heating up the heat sink. You might overheat the whole light assembly. I imagine it costs a small fortune. Not to mention, it could get you stranded in the dark, far away from home.
It definitely looks better but I'm curious as to why you spent all that time and effort to remove the paint only to repaint it the exact same colour? Why didn't you just repaint the front area that had the logo on?
Hey this is just a question in an older video u rebuilt a 1977 Yamaha 500xt engine and I have the same one and I can’t find anything about tourqe specs I was wondering if u know a link or if u just know them?
One of the best videos I’ve watched on TH-cam 👌🏻
There is an easy way!
On the right side is the connector for the original foglights.

Indeed. I wonder if the factory will do a kit someday.
Лучший гараж что я видел. Спасибо за видео!

Had it for a while now. No issues.
Definitely worth the extra light output.
Great idea, also been thinking about what to fit….🤔👍🏻

Denali S4 Center Light Kit - KTM 1290 Adventure
I reckon I beat em to the punchline 😁
Great content, the relay analysis was great info. I would like to know the specs on the diode?
Thanks
Andrew
It was a 1N4001 silicone diode. 50v 1 amp. The voltage spike has very little current if its shorted so any small silicone power diode will work.
@@mostlymotorcycles. Thank you sir.
most useful!

Well I could have, but that would have been 1/2 a job.
Would you notice with the back black. Maybe not, lol.

Sorry, I sent the workshop manual back with the bike. I believe reddit is an excellent source of such information these days.
Denali did it
I had not heard of the Denali brand. They may have some better options.
can you do mine,
