I think it's so important not to demonise the ego, I have seen a lot of this in the spiritual new age community and it is a deluded attitude. It is not a lie, it is real. When a loved one dies or perhaps you are badly injured, you are not saying, this doesn't matter because it's just an illusion. Respect the ego, for it is the currency in which you relate to the 3D realm. Remember, that without it there are no relationships.. we have come here to live the experience of being a human being with a personality so it does not make a great deal of sense to downplay the relevance of that. We can still have compassion for the personal self and all it's flaws but not take it too seriously, and the suffering is greatly reduced.

I understand that completely. It's hard for me to verbally express myself as well except I'm not sure why exactly.
This made me cry. I've been trapped in "experiencing the illusion of separation" in my whole life and I can't take it anymore these days. Some part of me really wants to live this experience but the other part of me is really scared even though I'm really in pain in my being. My relationships, my brain, my mind is really foggy. Feels like I shouldn't have been born. Maybe my life was meant to be this way, but this life of me is really traumatic and painful.

I’m doing it next weekend. Do you have any advice? Particularly how to let go or not fear ego death. Also does setting an intention help or will I just forget my intentions once tripping? I’ve been trying to get into LOA but i find I have a lot of blockages due to anxiety and past trauma.

I’m really excited and ready to change but starting to get last minute jitters as I have no idea what ego dissolution will feel like or do to me; despite doing lighter psychedelics in that past. From what I gather the first few minutes are terrifying and then it becomes blissful and insightful. I’m ready to let go of my trauma and blockages

@@spencerdawson6536 I know this is going to sound lame but I didn’t end up going through with it cause the shamen there told me I had to do it in front of everyone and people were recording and I felt really uncomfortable. If that something you don’t mind I guess it’s okay, I guess I know better for next time if I’ll do it, it needs to be private as I didn’t know there’d be a group of people there spectating who aren’t even taking the medicine.

Apparently, all this had to be up and processed first before I then experience the divinity, that all is one and connected and unconditional love, which many report. I can't really say what I experienced, I only know it was intense and my identity has dissolved.

How can life be a gift? No matter how you look at it. If there's no afterlife and God, then there's only nothing. All will have been in vain, and we don't take anything with us, everything dissapears, even civilization and humans and memories and everything anyone ever did ever. Is just a little glimpse you won't even remember.
And if there is a God and an afterlife, i must assume that is better than here. Non duality, all knowing, no trauma, no fear, no inequality, no evil, no waste of time no bad things at all. There's lots of that here though. So how can this be a gift? Yes obviously there's good moments, even for me. And im content and somewhat appreciate my time. Still. I mean, a nice experience and all the blah blah blah you want however this experience does not truly enlighten you. At the end it gives you just a hint of it. Just like when you go to the ice cream store and they give you a free sample of the ice cream. It isn't the whole ice cream just a sample of it. So it can be all transformative you want but is not permanent and is not enlightenment. I came for the whole ice cream not just a sample of it. To me it lacks and it lacks a lot.
