It’s known as a split half coupler or lovejoy coupler (brand). They are common in low hp hydraulic to engine connections. I think jetskis uses a different style coupler but I could be mistaken.

We used magister hydraulics cylinders up front. The bushings we found on eBay to accommodate the new euro cylinders. Did you get the one on fb marketplace in upstate New York?
I'm in IA. I think I found rebuild kits for the cylinders so I might try that. The bucket drops so I assume it's an internal cylinder leak and not a control valve.
Great job, but I definitely would of got one with electric start. Electric start is pretty reliable. that is a gib engine to pull start. life is to short to use pull start every time. By the way you could of got electric start and just bought the pull start mechanism and added that later

Does it matter witch why the pump turns if motor was turned around would the pump still work turning backwards
That’s a good question, I would think so… most engines turn the same way though unless you couple it to the flywheel side…?

If it was 13 splines I believe it was a lovejoy 37918 l150 on the pump side and the equivalent straight keyed shaft half on the engine side

ebay! just typed in the spline count and then lovejoy coupler, and then the series coupler, they come in different diameters.

It does have electric start, the pull start is just a backup!
