Since I grew up with the First Decade I can't get into the "newer" Decade. To me the tracks sound too much alike. But I guess I'm getting old. Have fun Kids ✌🏻
Yeah I kinda agree, I also was brought up with the original distorted 909 kick. Of course it's nice to hear some innovation after all those years, but nowadays you mostly hear that filtered distorted "bleep" on the attack of each tuned kick. It sitll hasn't grown on me.. Maybe some day. That being said, some tracks do sound nice with that evolved "new" kick though. Slowly getting use to it, I guess 😈
@@DCYx thats not true, nowaday theres much more variation. Dont get me wrong, i love early, but early is also often kinda the same, the classic synthi and the 909's (i love the early tracks, especially the synth is so great) and saying back then there was more variation is just not true. Just look at uptempo, there are so many different kicks, there are piep kicks, classic uptempo kicks, these "deep" and dark kicks and so on. Then theres frenchcore, terror (terror is the only style i would say which is often kinda monotonous, but i still love it). Maybe its just that i didnt experienced the 90's just the "new" style, but yeah i wouldnt listen to it if it was as montonous as some people say. And wouldnt it be kinda boring if it wouldnt develop and always the same 90's sound? I have love for the early and the new tracks. And the bass from the many new kicks is just "lekker" (as the nederlandish guys would say xD). But i dont want to argue about it, everyone has a different opinion and different love for different styles and i really appreciate it and its good that its like that. Rave on brother! Interesting to read all the debates comparing the decades... It's OK for the new generation to discover hardcore through the 'modern' style! You have to start somewhere, right? ^^ But at the end, if you're into hardcore for more than 10 years, you'll probably be hardcore for life! So go to parties, go to festivals, pick the stage you like the most and have fun ! What really matters are the memories you build listening to hardcore! (( I can still picture myself at Mysteryland 2004, on top of the pyramid, jumping like crazy on Promo's set ))

I know a lot of the old gabbers think the same like you. At least my mates from "back then" also do. But i've always thought that the music was evolving into the sounds as we would have wanted it back then... End of the 90's there also was a lot of crap hardcore. They almost killed it. Until they started evolving into these insane styles they got now... I sometimes think the older songs have more passion and feeling in them. Then i get goosebumps and love the songs. But then i realise, thats nostalgia...

Weet niet wie dit bedacht heeft, maar dat pseudo-satanistische komt nogal kinderachtig en weinig origineel over. Visuals en lichten waren vorige editie sowieso veel vetter. Verder gewoon weer top!! Ich weiss ja nicht wer das bestimmt wer ein echter gabber ist, aber nur weil jemand jung ist und den neueren sound mag heisst das doch nicht dass man kein echter gabber ist. Ich versteh das nicht wieso so viele leute sagen "der alte sound ist besser und es sind nurnoch hipster da". Jeder hat seinen eigenen geschmack und es gibt auch viele leute den neuen sound mögen. Das hat irgendwie diesen faden beigeschmack von "ich bin was besseres weil ich noch die alten zeiten miterlebt habe". Freut euch doch dass die harder styles nicht aussterben und es viele neue leute anzieht. Jeder muss mal irgendwo anfangen. Ich bin 22 und höre die mukke jetzt seit 8 jahren, gehe auf festivals und lebe die musik, sie ist mein ein und alles. Bin ich dann in deinen augen auch kein "echter" gabber? Klar es gibt auch ein paar hipster die sich besonders fühlen wollen und deswegen (besonders halt den thunderdome weil das ja quasi DAS festivals schlechthin ist) dorthin gehen, aber es gibt sehr viele junge menschen (wo ich mich mal dazu zähle) die die harder styles lieben gelernt haben und die alte tradition weiterführen. Und es ist doch auch was schönes neue sounds zu haben und nicht nur immer den gleichen alten sound supporten. Versteh mich nicht falsch, ich liebe early, aber uptempo etc. ist auch was sehr schönes. Und es ist auch sehr abwechslungsreich, jeder der sagt es gibt nurnoch die piepkicks und alles hört sich gleich an hat nicht recht. Es gibt so viele unterschiedliche arten von kicks, besonders beim uptempo. Der besteht nicht nur aus piepkicks, kommt halt immer auf den künstler drauf an aber wenn man jetzt nicht nur GPF oder unicorn on ketamine hört dann gibt es da sehr viel variation.
