This is what happens when you start with a clean sheet of paper. Hard to imagine all this in 80' !!!

She is breathtaking. Will be inquiring about a visit and a sea trial soon.
Question: Have you sacrificed the stacked washer and dryer in the crew area for a shower? Does that mean there are no washer and dryer onboard?

The washer and dryer Is in the crew quarter but not shown in this video

Wow, I wish it was full electric though

Battery density makes it less than viable. The Silent Yachts need a full catamaran covered in panels and that only manages half a dozen knots unless you flatten the reserves or kick the generators on. The trouble is... the sea. Electric cars work because once you get to speed you only need a bit of energy to keep momentum. But in water you're pushing ALL the time. In car terms it's like tractoring a laden caravan up a steep hill, something that would drain your EV quickly.

Batteries are always a huge risk at sea. I've seen a video of a superyacht that caught fire and sank because of the batteries. The technology has NOT reached the point where it would be practical on yachts for long term use.

Grrrrr Ugo. When will we see the new line based on the Sherpa XL? How about a teaser to stop us peasants from storming the castle with pitchforks and torches 😄😄😄

Wish it can cruise like an exploration yacht with better efficiency. Maybe you guys can integrate the Volvo Penta 1350 and combine an electric motor which makes it hybrid for exploration miles but maintaining a cruising speed of 25 nautical miles

@@arcadiayachts5060 Your yachts are designed beautifully. The trend is going through hybrid propulsion like what Benetti is doing

The trouble is explorer vessels have to be very differently constructed. Very differently. Because they can't out-run bad weather they have to be built to withstand them. So they need to be tougher. Preferably made of aluminium or steel (Cheoy, Bering) and redundancy everywhere, serious nautical globetroters. And that's fine. But those are specialist vessels, e.g. Bering but Nordhavn, Flemming, etc. etc.. THESE yachts are for different people, for the Azimut & Princess crowd, Absolute & Sunseeker, Cranchi & Fairline, intended for gentle holiday days out and week cruises in the med at 20/25 knots in nice weather with friends & family.

It depends on what you want it for. It's certainly doing things very differently, and "Marmite" at that.
