Thank you so much for this video. A life saver for me. I looked everywhere for the vector path! Behringer better have given you a demo unit for doing this!
Brilliant, thank you very much for making this tutorial. I got my Pro VS mini last week but the manual is short and I couldn’t figure out how to set the vector points. This video should be viewed by everyone who buys this synth!
Thanks for the comment !! Yeah, at first is a bit confusing. The manual doesn't help at all. Most of the guide I figured it out on my own, knowing how the original works helped a lot XD
Wow! What an incredibly detailed, clear and truly brilliant intro for some like me, an absolute beginner. This really really helped me so much. Thank you ❤❤❤
When I first got mine, I felt a bit disappointed on first impression, but when I gave it a chance and actually learned the capabilities of this synth from your video, I am amazed by it, and couldn’t be happier with purchasing it. It has absolutely everything I was looking for in a first synth. It’s amazing to me how something so small and cheap can sound and create such big things. Amazing video.
Huge help bro, super thorough and clear. I've used this one for the VS and the one for Crave. I almost only want to buy gear you've done a tutorial for lol. Thanks bro!
Thank you for such an in depth dive into this little synth! It's definitely made its way onto my future-synth wish list. I appreciate all your effort in making this video. Cheers!
I looked through the comments and saw no mention of it, but the new firmware update 1.1.5 is supposed to fix the mix bi-directional loop issue. I will be updating later to day to try it out.
Thank you very much for the really successful explanation! Unfortunately it's too late for me. Because I sold it again after two weeks because the presets didn't convince me! Behringer would do well to describe this important information in the instructions! Unfortunately I didn't give myself enough time to find out for myself. Maybe I'll buy it again when the prices drop! Have a nice time 😊
Hey, thanks for the comments. Yeah, at first it's not a "get great sounds out of the box" synth. The factory presets are not that good. You need to spend a little bit of time, use the full power of the vector to get something good out of it. Specially if you use it with a good FX processor.
I found out that the tempo can be synchronized with a DAW or an external clock to ensure both are in sync. To determine the tempo when using the arpeggiator in the PRO VS MINI, you would need to set the tempo in your DAW and then sync the synthesizer to the DAW's clock. This way, the arpeggiator's speed will match the tempo set in your DAW.
Very good deep dive, just have a question: Does the arpeggiator or anything else have a hold setting or button, so that when I release the key it keeps playing? The original prophet vs does have it and it is very useful.
I remember studying my Volca Sample 2 with your video, thanx. Dumb question: does this device only load a single patch? If I hook it up to a multichannel midi sequencer I ll only able to play a single patch?
Thank you, thank you, thank you ! Your explanations are quite clear and very useful. Except maybe regarding the sequencer, the metronome is active all the time and makes me confused, as we say in french it looks as a gaz factory ! It appears there's no step editing, I'll soon know as I should receive mine within a few days. I agree with jteichma !
Thanks for such a good video. Loved it. I have ordered the synth and waiting to try it out. I have a question regarding the vector. What if I want a certain blend to remain throughout the sound? Do I have to set all the points to the same blend between A,B,C and D? Or how else would I go about it?
Hello !! Thanks for the comment. Yes, that is one way. But, a better way is to set the initial point ( 0 vector point ) on whatever blend you want, and the set all the VECTOR MIX KNOBS all the way to cero, set the envelope loop to "no loop". When you play, since the vectors have nowhere to go, It will stay at the Cero point. It will work like a 4 OSC's synth pretty much.
I will mention you if I ever need tech support from Behringer. This was a really good dive. I love using it. I want to link and use my Edge and it together with the Akai keyboard. Also have the Modal Skulpt and TD3. A whole jam band of sequencers.
Just got mine today and it's my first synth! I'm curious how you're able to contorl this with an external keyboard? I noticed you don't have anything connected in the Midi Input? Can I controll it thru a DAW or something else?
So what are the units of Attack, Decay, and Release? I'm new to synths and this concept seems weird, especially since the Sustain is a different type of thing. Thanks for the video!

A superb video, as usual, I have one question please: how to play with an external midi keyboard, I have the Akai Mpk plus and I just connected to mpk midi out to the provs mini midi in, anyway no sound came out in this way
Thanks for this, really helpful video deep dive, esp for those considering in buying one like me. Can the Decay on the Envelope go "infinite" - for drones :-)

Thanks to those who include 5 pin midi inputs on these devices. But f##& the manufacturers of the external keyboards who have no output but a usbB. We NEED information on syncing these devices and externally connecting them and using them for music creation.
The best way to try if you have sound or not is connecting your headphones to the direct out > load a factory patch > max volume. If still no sound, you might want to use the warranty.
I would like one but 32 patches is a bit limiting for me, I love to design sounds and that limitation is ridiculous in 2024, I hope they fix that in a firmware update, I would want at least 100 preset/patch slots as a bare minimum
How the hell do you hook up an external keyboard? I see Midi In which is perfect. However, you cannot buy a Midi keyboard with 5 pin out that is self powered. So The hard part of this business you never explain, that is External connections. For this device it seems simple but with my other synths i cannot configure an external keyboard as yet. All keyboards (MIDI come with USB B outs and I have not found an adapter yet that goes from 5 pin to USB B. EDIT: Finally found the keyboard you want. AKAI APK mini plus. Do not buy anything else, they all suck.
