Great idea with keeping a few angle brackets on the rig, for easy re-placement of elements. Oh, and what is up with having a huuuuuge studio? That looks so nice
Thanks Henrik, hopefully my videos can make other people's lives a little bit easier! Yes the studio is huuuuge! Hang around and see what I do with it! ;)
Alan, Really like your ideas for your modifications. I have a few ideas i want to do for mine. Your giving me even more ideas. Looking forward to more content. My biggest issue it seems to be finding affordable 40x40, 40x80 or 40x120 lengths.
Hi Ben thanks for commenting! My rig looks quite different now, which I'll go through in a follow up video shortly. I hope the changes you implement work well! As for finding lengths of profile - I cannibalised pieces from other parts of my rig - if I could reconfigure a part with one less profile, that gives me a spare profile to play with. I also used a length of pine which is super cheap if I didn't need the stiffness of aluminium.
hey bro your videos are great, keep up the good work. I've got a question im in the process of building my own aluminium frame upgrading from the same play seat you used originally, how did you manage to mount your seat. I saw your last video but for me it wasn't very clear. I don't nessecerily want the same angle you have but a bit of angle would be nice. thanks in advance!
Hi Oliver, thank you for the kind words! I'm actually in the middle of filming a video on how to mount seats which will hopefully be released before you build - it goes into detail about how to utilise the brackets. Regardless, I'll try to explain in this reply! A standard 90 degree bracket can be spun 360º around the bolt that secures it - this can convert a bottom mount seat into a side mount seat. You can do the same for the base that you are mounting to - whether that's aluminium, wood, steel, anything - you'll be able to find a combination where the free ends of the brackets on the base and seat line up. Stay tuned and thanks again :D
Great studio!
Very exciting times!
Another great video Alan - nice (massive) studio!
Yeah I definitely get my steps in! Thanks for the comment!

Great video Alan, good to see you doing something you're passionate about :) all the best to you!
Thank you Polina! I appreciate the support more than I can express in a little text snippet 😁
