So cool to see dying in process. I haven’t gone down that rabbit hole so far, so it's all new and very magical. I’m going to have much fun seeing you spin all that gorgeousness. harpingJanet
thank you for this video! i’m 15 years old, and nobody in my family besides me is a fiber artist, so I was really nervous about my own scour turning out okay. luckily, I found your video, which was very helpful and informative, and helped me feel more secure about the process since the fiber I bought also came from Malik Family Farm!
@@jkfiberarts it turned out amazing for my first scour! the fleece is all clean and quite lustrous now - like a pearl. i’m working on carding it now, but it’s difficult since i’m using wool combs that can only hold 1/3rd of an ounce at a time and take a looooong time
Thank You! I have a couple of very detailed acid dyeing videos. If you go to my channel home page and select playlist, there is a dyeing section and that will explain DOS in detail. Basically 1% DOS is the base dye stock solution and you would dilute it with water to lighten(even to the point of pastels)to the shade you want, or use more to increase the depth of shade(DOS).
I love all the different colors you dyed.🥰
Thanks! I am excited to card them!
Your second fleece is the same color as my Yorkie terriers, gray and blonde! The sunflower color way is so interesting!
Cool!

That is so awesome! Malik Family(Naveed and Raheena) are the best! I am so glad you found me! How did your scour turn out?

@zippychipz2800 that is great to hear! Keep carding! Small batches. You will get there! It will totally be worth it!
Happy Birthday 🎉
Thank you!
Happy birthday-versary! Cool video, love the colors! When you can, could you explain about 1% solutions. I'm fairly new to dying
