I remember seeing something about Haruka somewhere before (PWI? WrestleCrap? Cracked.com?), but I didn't know someone as notable these days as Kenny freaking Omega had a match against her, and made it look surprisingly competitive in the bargain. I'm sure there will be a rematch when she graduates from high school!

He was drunk way more than just that one time. At one point it was straight up cause he was in too much pain without it.

The Great Antonio's real name was Antonio Bariechevich, and was Eastern European, not French Canadian. He once performed a strongman act on Johnny Carson's Tonight Show. (I think that clip is still here on TH-cam.) As for Dusty and his eye...well, look for the clip where Stan Hansen wrestled Vader in Japan. Hansen took out Vader's eye for real in that match. (That is here on TH-cam as well.)

The original deadman was based on a character in an old western (I think it's 'Once upon a time in the West' although I'm not sure.) There is a gunfight in a town, the mortician a huge guy walks out of his shop takes the gun, watch and a ring from the dead guy throws the body over his shoulder and walks off. Vince McMahan had seen this and that is what 'taker was in the early 90s. Even his ring gear back then looks the same.
