@DooDoo Playz It's... okay I guess? It's such an awkward mix between being fortnite cartoony and tactical. It's like they tried making a proper Barrett M82 blaster, but then halfway through the process decided it should become a fortnite blaster with an AR body instead.

@@flightlesschicken7769 agree, it seems like they don't. However almost all the of the influencers in the community are enthusiasts, therefore all of the content is driven by enthusiasts. Their target market is most likely watching a lot of that content. So if all the enthusiasts are pushing people away from Nerf and towards other brands that offer better value - it's going to make an impact over time. They are missing the mark IMO.

Man it’s seem like Nerf is really losing out with The Ultra Series to companies like Adventure Force, Dart Zone and Zuru X by making their darts limited to using only Ultra Darts.
Blasters* not darts
The Ultra line was meant to be used only with Ultra darts, problem being the blasters under perform so badly and the darts are so expensive that hobbyists are turning their backs on the line. Unfortunately hobbyists and modders are a very small segment of the market that buys blasters, so Hasbro will continue this proprietary type strategy if it brings in bigger profits this year.
I kinda want the blaster but I don’t want to support the ultra line. Idk what to do.

Drac quick question: Does the goldish plastic have swirls in it? If so BE SUPER CAREFUL WITH THAT. We in the transformers community have this term called gold plastic syndrome. Hasbro used to use this pretty gold plastic with metallic swirls in it, but because of how it was made it became super brittle and shattered if you looked at it wrong. If it has the swirls HANDLE WITH CARE OR IT WILL COLLAPSE INTO DUST. On the other hand if you actually wanted to destroy this hunk of useless plastic, please handle it like a crazed animal.

Take that “barrel” off the end. Convert that bad boy from “bolt action” to some stryfe/rapid strike internals, and nerf would have a good space line rifle primary.

This really reminds me, in terms of how the barrel looks, of a .50cal sniper rifle with the barrel recoiled all the way back. Hasbro has done proportional barrels before, so why can't they do it with this?
Also, there are so many major bummers for such an expensive blaster. The prime being so obnoxiously long, and only on one side, the scope being a permanent fixture, no bipod, and the complete lack of deco on one side are absurd. For this money, you could get a Nexus Pro, an actually good blaster, that gets high performance, and can actually hit things.
And a pack of 100 short darts to go with it.
Its design reminds me a lot of the bolt action .50 cal from farcry 4, cant remember the name of it

This blaster is amazing and even saved my life. My house was broken into the other day and Upon seeing the ultra 7 in my room, the intruders decided I was mentally challenged and decided to leave. Thanks to this gun I was unharmed

At least the centurion looked *AMAZING,* yet it was still quite impractical. This is basically that but it doesn’t look amazing and uses an obscure round.

Wow, it really does now that you mention it. Only problem is that the spartan is is 3 round burst stampede, which is infinitely cooler than this.... Also just fyi the spartan is one of the fictional blasters from the N Strike Elite Wii video game. Which is quite a fun game honestly.

I dig the shell, looking forward to whomever makes the first Pharaoh/stryfe integration.
I always loved how the centurion primed, it made you feel like a God whenever you pulled back its bolt.
If someone ended up with this blaster from goodwill, or was gifted it, it honestly wouldn't be bad for integration fodder. I don't hate the shell.

I wonder why they went with an external mag for this thing, I’m surprised they use an internal mag since kids who are the target audience for this usually have an easier time with internal mags rather than external box mags
It might be cheaper in the long run to ship the blaster in parts by having the magazine for large blasters. It could also be easier in some cases to design the blaster with a detachable magazine, given that an internal magazine might require special geometry to work with a particular blaster design, or might just be hard/expensive to produce the specific parts necessary in quantity. I'd also assume from a designer's point of view the internal magazine design on a heavier/longer blaster is undesirable, because a child could more easily find themselves in a position to close the bolt on their fingers. Having the mag encourages the child to hold the blaster more steadily or to place it on the ground to better access the magazine.

Hey Jinx and Echo! I kinda like the shape of the Ultra 7, if the barrel was longer and the scope looked like the Nitron Scope, then I would heavily consider buying into the Ultra delusion. To be honest I am waiting for the MotoStryke, then the Elite 2.0 Phoenix and Turbine in that order.

I can honestly say I wouldn’t even pick up an ultra blaster from the goodwill... we went from rapidstrikes, stryfes, and retaliators. To numbers.... that use styrofoam darts...Only dart zone will be getting my money for the next few months. Hopefully the GL and the mega-stryfe are as good as I hope they will be. Love the video Drac. Keep up the good work.. well back to the RS on the workbench.

I would like to do a recaliber of the pharoh. I remember seeing people converting centurions into standard elite darts. Also the aesthetic is along the lines of anti-material rifle/DMR sniper hybrid.
This is a great blaster it gives you a good feel. I definitely love how big it is. And the scope does help with aim it's definitely for more long range and I love this Nerf gun I got it as a Christmas gift it is perfect in every way. And when I take it to friends they love to play with it too. Overall the other Nerf guns are really too small there are two that I have my eye on I on right now. But this is a great Nerf gun. 5 stars would recommend!

I bet that magazine could work for x-shot darts, but it might end up in a weird double stack situation. It seems really similar to an x-shot magazine just wider of course.
I could see the shell being used for a bullpup rifle using some regular or half length darts. Should be plenty of room for motors and what not inside. Sure it would take lots of shell work, but if I see one at Goodwill I might give it a shot.
I see some pretty decent potential for that shell. Slap a good flywheel kit in there and lop off the scope/muzzle break and i think you might have something fun

the ultra line can be saved. we need some accustrike darts for it all and that would fix the issues with the ammo, and so these guns are already just so powerful but the ammo sucks rn but accustrike could fix that by twisting the fins on the end to make it so that the dart has spin to it, and the tips of the darts could be switched to accustrike style tips.
5:11 yeah the mag releases, BECAUSE YOU HAVE THE BOLT BACK. The bolt locks the mag in place when it’s fully cocked

Okay I’m probably an unpopular opinion, but I actually like how it looks, but I’d definitely prefer a longer barrel like the centurion and a smaller, more sniper-y magazine. It might be cool to try and rechamber it for elite darts
