So the reason why they don’t match in the fitting stage is because we use extra cloth to make the sleeves because we need to alter the jackets substantially so when we are finished finished, we then put the real sleeves on that have been cut using the updated paper pattern so we don’t risk having to order more cloth to make new sleeves between the fittings.
Very, very informative: we get a glimpse of what goes into a bespoke suit/coat....One day, I'd love to be able to go bespoke.
