I fully agree: DB flatters and is, most of the time, preferable :-) I'm (ahem) a fuller around the belly and I like the DB coat or jacket to 'nip in' just a little. I feel good in DB.
I have consistently had two or three double-breasted suits and/or jackets in my rotation for the past 40+ years. They have come and gone in style (a couple times) but never really are out of style. I lost a job opportunity one time because I wore one to an interview. The company might not have been too great a place to work.
hahah i would be glad that they didn't hire me. if you looked sharp they where just intimitated. they want slaves not people that look more succesfull that them
Or a 3 piece, I guess it depends on the body type. Personally, I think I look a bit weird with double breasted because it's my butt that sticks out more than my gut plus I got wide shoulders and thick legs so I find a 3 piece suit hides things better for me; or having a 2 piece with a jacket that looks good open all the time and without a tie.
DB suits come and go out of fashion but they have always had style! Having style is what it's about not chasing goofy pee-wee Herman tight suits that don't fit !
If you want to convince people that double breasted suits are flattering, you should try wearing a suit that fits. The shoulders are too big, you look boxy, the trousers are to big and your legs look disproportionate to your upper body as a result Of your attempts to change your upper body shape. Double breastfed suits can look great, but the one you're wearing makes you look like your suit is too big.
His Jacket needs to be shorter and a DB Jacket with odd trousers just looks not right, it’s should be a complete suit if you are going to be wearing a necktie.
You are spot on and you look 10s my friend. That pocket sq has really got my attention I must say especially in the perfection of the fold.
I'm 5' 11", a 40R, and routinely wear and enjoy DB suits (plus a couple of DB navy blazers) during the cooler months, It's a great look.
I plan on getting a double breasted suit. The look is so classy looking and will definitely make a statement
Your suit is a masterpiece.

The jacket you wore probably caused the board some un-ease.
Did they explain more than that?
@@erikanil They said my suit was too "continental". No other reasons.

Paint coats or shirts ka cuntraas bta dain
You sound like Gary Bettman. Nice video
Anyone else think that suit makes his torso look too big compared to his legs?
I really like the shilloute of your suit not too curvy and slim fit.
Everything is slim fit nowadays and I hate it!
The name of pattern of suit and cloth name jacket hanged
Bravo to double breasted suits..i just wore one 2 church 2day..
If I was a heavy guy, I would wear a waistcoat and opt for thicker fabrics on the suits so they drape well.
The problem is suiting wools are made very think anymore. A lot of it is thin and cheap.
What does everyone here think of a DB for shorter men (160 to 170 cm)?
I am 5'6" and I recently got a double-breasted suit. I think it looks fabulous on me and I get a lot of complements
Your coat has very little overlap. Is that also to create the illusion of a slimmer torso?
Кроме того, ширина нахлёста уменьшается внизу пиджака.

Double breasted jackets only look good on slim people seriously look in the mirror it makes you look double the size just saying.
It really depends on the fit, and also the size of the dress shirt you are wearing too.
