    Hey Mag Mod!! ...nobody teaches this and it's soooo frustrating to me. I know my way around a camera pretty well, but some of these more technical types of tricks and effects are things I still have yet to conquer and really figure out. THANK YOU soooo much for doing this for us!! I would sure give the world for you to also do a couple of videos teaching us how to photograph sparkler exits, light trails with wedding reception dance photos, how to photograph those cigar smoke photos of the guys on wedding day, and how to get that hair spray shot when the bride is getting ready. I'd also love to learn how to do some of those trick photos that so many of you do on wedding days - the reflection, shooting through things, bokeh lights, ring shots with an extra fun flair, etc. A super fun photographer that does a lot of this stuff is Jason Martin with Concept Photography. This guy has some super cool photography tricks and effects and I still have yet to figure out how he does a lot of them.

    What are the yellow strips on your flash units? Are those part of the rubber piece that go over the flash unit to receive the grids etc? My Mag Mod gear is quite old, perhaps the newer versions look different from mine.

      Thanks Shree. Yeah we wish our cameras had a way of capturing flash exposure settings - it would make it a lot easier to include. We will try better to write down that information as we are filming to include it in future videos.

    What zoom level do you use on your flash with a Magmod grid installed?

    • @MagnetMod
      @MagnetMod  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Dave, the MagGrid will reduce your flash beam to about 40º so any zoom level below 50mm should be good. Most photographers using MagMod leave the zoom as wide as possible and then let the modifiers control the output!
