    Great job Pye! Always clear and succinct! Best reminder-- After getting all the prep accomplished with light modifiers etc…. Shoot more poses in that new environment!!!

      It is a great reminder. Often times it seems I am looking for new fresh ideas constantly and forget that I can use the set and lighting to capture additional poses without having to move. Pye is awesome.

    This video was so well done. It was just like being a student on scene and seeing how the magic is made. I especially liked the explanation of the Rembrandt lighting, light position and face position.

    Great video as always, Pye. I use CAMP and also the MagMod stuff. FYI, I just recently compared the spread of various combinations. The grid was a small circle, the bare flash was an oval a little wider but a lot longer, and the grid/sphere combination had the largest spread but of course was more diffused.

    dont understand the point of using a grid with a sphere on top. Doesnt it cancel out the grid?

    Have the 200 pro and a 400 pro. Would like to see what a 400 or 600 out of frame would do to create similar lighting without post production masking

    What camera used to record the video?

  • @chocloditelensman
    @chocloditelensman 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Actually my flash exposure goes down - because if the background is being underexposed, you don’t need as much directional flash power.

  • @larryb0315
    @larryb0315 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Is the flash in Auto Zoom or Manual Zoom, if Manual what setting are you using with the 24-70mm lens, Pye? PS, I love the way you teach, I have subscribed!

    • @MagnetMod
      @MagnetMod  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      While I'm not Pye - so he might have some more insight. I can share that I know he shoots almost exclusively in Manual. His regular saying is "when in the sun, 1/1 power and when in doors match the ISO." So for example when shooting indoors at 3200 ISO, the flash power would be 1/32th power, or if at 800 ISO then 1/8th power. Hope that helps.

    Love the composition and explanation of the whole process!! 🫡 👏👏 pie do you have a video explaining how to power or control multiple lights or ad200 ?? I can get them both to fire but can’t control the power individually yet .😏

    • @boostedmaniac
      @boostedmaniac ปีที่แล้ว +3

      you have to set each flash to a different group. On our remote you'll see A, B, C, etc. Set your flash to the corresponding group you want and then you can set the flash power individually.

    • @MagnetMod
      @MagnetMod  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yep boost nailed it. You just need to make one flash A, and one flash B in the settings. Once they are in different groups then you can control the power of each group.
