@@phrz- Ok I was wondering why I was having a rough time. It's Swiftcast + Fire & Ice on Aerith that makes it a cakewalk. Just been a while since I had did it. On to bonds then I can finally do those last 2 annoying piano songs.
I had more luck with: Lightning and wind+ swiftcast Wind+ mp absorb Wind + HP absorb Wind + magic focus Wind + magic focus Fire and ice + elemental (armor) Magic up First strike ATB BOOST (can sub for enemy skill but eh) HP UP (can swap for enemy skill or re-raise or whatever PHOENIX Basically a wind build does about 40,000 damage to 52 thousand on staggered enemies, when buffed properly but without enemy skill. 35K low end. I wish I could do 99,000 with an ability but I can't I mean maybe I could if I use deprotect but I would have to get rid of the important materia. This wind build is amazing and fast it works for me personally but credit to Solestro for that.
That made Odin look easy. Today was my second attempt at Bonds. Yesterday I struggled with Titan, today I made it to Alexander. I think my issue was having the elemental-fire in my setup, wasting space that could make me more powerful. Also, using Lighting as a primary attack, instead of wind makes sense. This way it cuts through Alexander really fast. Even if I have to be a pinch more careful with Phoenix.
I know these video guides are kinda old but I actually managed to beat all of the brutal and legendary bouts thanks to these guides. The only difference is I started tackling them after beating chapters 1 - 11 on hard(as well as getting manuscripts for beating each of the regions’ deadly fiends) and I finished the last one (Bonds of Friendship) after beating the remaining chapters on hard mode. Personally, I prefer beating To be a Hero first then Bonds of Friendship simply because TBH gives a manuscript for Cloud and I needed that and beating Final Sephiroth on Hard mode to push Cloud’s weapon level from 8 to 9. Which helped me a lot in reaching major breakpoints.(like breaking Bahamut Arisen’s wings with Aerora and 1 shotting Alexander’s arms with Thundaga).
@@Jet-1576 yeah, weapon level 9 would be better since we get stat boost. I've seen BOF cleared in 4:48 mins. Currently gathering those manuscript by completing hard chapters. But seems like im missing quite a few. Havent re-do sidequest on hard. Probably get them from those?
@@phrz- there are some manuscripts you get via beating region specifc bosses on hard mode(like Great Malboro). @ Dude, I was tempted. But I only have enough Jetsams for two Genji items. I haven’t beat the game on hard mode yet. And the rest of the jetsams are on chapter 13. I’m on 12. I wanted to transmute all Genji items at the same time. Bahamut was kicking my ass, until I found out from someone online that you have to get hit with the little particles status in order to pressure him. Then use synergy skills to pressure him consistently during his charge. I felt like such a dummy. Haha.
@@life0093 maybe i remembered it wrong but i think i had all 3 genji before i started hard mode story chapters. But nvm, you can speedrun bonds anytime you want now. No pressure 😁 didnt know about that bahamut part, usually we destroy its wings to pressure it. Nice info 🫶
