    These types of videos are of great help for us beginners. We know the King's Indian movies from watching your videos. But here, we have the chance to learn the thought process and different ideas when playing a game of chess.
    Beginners need more videos like this one, maybe you can post some with The London System as well and all different (common) openings for both white and black.
    Big thanks Levi, you're a great inspiring teacher with a talent to deliver info easily yet effectively.

      I bet he was talking about R8f4. I think it is simply crashing. 1) ... R8f4 2) Qe3 and then Nf5! But I like the idea to play 2) ... R4f3, because it can lead to mate quickly, if white doesn't play precisely.

    • @ryanwiora3566

      Gotta be rook f3

    • @achindatyal231
      @achindatyal231 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Rook to f3..then pawn G2 will take the rook
      Then you check with queen h3
      Then king will have only one move
      Again check by queen nd then checkmate by rookon h2

    • @vroomvroomcarnong

    I think the cool idea was rook f4 then queen e3 (only move which saves queen)then knight on f5 then queen c1 and I guess knight g3 check,trying to attack pawn on g2 with idea to bring f8 rook and trying to checkmate him

  • @InfiniteQuest86

    It's interesting that he's so paranoid but then plays so fast. I think if he settles into 15+10 and uses all his time, he's going to skyrocket in rating.

    Is Kings Indian really suitable for a 900 elo? Someone told me that KID doesn't occupy the center, so you should avoid it.
    BTW I really like KID.. Should I play it? Also can you suggest an alternative reply to d4. (I am a 1300 rated player)

    • @woop8706
      @woop8706 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      He was not actually a 900, just a different time format.
      Also, there's no "suitable for this elo" rule. You can play however you want, and gatekeeping bcs chess elo is some of the dumbest shit I've seen.

    • @h0axyboi486
      @h0axyboi486 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@woop8706 He ain't gatekeeping. 'Usually' beginner players are accustomed to traditional hold the center/develop principles. That's why he said that

    • @sanaljoy5017
      @sanaljoy5017 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Woop I've been told that occupying the center is better because players like me aren't used to playing positional chess. But since I don't have a decent reply to d4 I end up playing KID any way 😅

    • @aboodahmad8236
      @aboodahmad8236 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would suggest to be away from opening in this elo.... You could learn opening later... learn know basic strategy and tactics and endgame before you go to opening.... You could learn opening When you get 1800+ elo...

    • @jothello9162
      @jothello9162 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There's nothing wrong with KID at any rating level except the very highest, and even then it can be played perfectly well. As long as you've learned and understand chess fundamentals, then play whatever you feel comfortable with. KID is a good response to d4 too.

      With Nxf6 you block the rook and after exf5 you only have 2 pieces attacking the white pawn which is also threatening to take on g6 fucking up the pawn structure thus not allowing you to pawn storm and weakening the king side. If you play Rxf6 you are not only defending f5 with three pieces, but you are also allowing to stack the rooks as you see can in the video.
