Optimising Your Mobile Power Source To Supplement Van Life

With a winter trip in progress and lpg a little more scarce using a second power source at times to boil water and cook food was essential. So optimising our portable power on a daily basis of charging it as we move and then using it throughout the day was a very rewarding processes
The key items we use is our Bluetti EB70 powerbank ( later models now exist ) along with a small travel kettle and hytrek cooking pot ( other models also now exist ) was our main devices
We're Jane & Stew and with our Ford Custom AutoCamper we share our version of vanlife as we explore the UK & Europe

Thanks for another good video, I know power banks are great and so many folks are reviewing them but dont forget gas is also great it will boil a kettle and cook all the meals you demonstrate very well. I know it wont power my hair straighteners or let me watch tv but for the cost of even a basic powerbank you can buy a lot of gas and therefore live very comfortably off grid 😁

Yep agree we use mainly lpg but suppliment it more with the power bank a couple of days a week so we always have an alternative

Just upgraded from a 500 watt to a 2000 watt power bank plus 200 watt solar panel 😊

Yeah portable solar, its the relatively new Aferiy, great spec and fantastic price, check out gadget John's review and others.

I know the one - thinking of getting a second bespoke dc dc charger to fast charge our portable as you only get 100 w off the cigar lighter so it should at least halve that - will let you know if it’s successful

Also try to get them strapped down as obviously a heavy thing if you have an accident we are still looking into this
