I have one that I bought from Barnes and Noble where only the aqua or pink colored sets were available at USD for $19.99 which I didn't pay the full amount as I used my membership. I still use it and writes well. As for the ink cartridges that depends on the brand used. I was able to use Manuscript ink cartridges without any issues. Watermen have long international ink cartridges that fit inside as well. I used those on the one Grip that I have. I don't if using an straightened out longer paper clip will get that stuck cartridge out.
I noticed that as well. the little balls fell out. I wonder if the one inside the barrel had the ball inside or out. Looks like the cartridges exploded. They may have opened it to clean it up, then re-sealed it.
@@RJayRobertsInterestingly, the cartridge in the barrel was undamaged, only I pierced it with a needle to removed it. However, there was already dry on it... a mystery
So sorry. I had that happen with a Sailor Lecoule pen that I ordered from Amazon. The first came with a cartridge inserted! Replacement was use , and I had three attempts to finally get a new pen. So sad. 😢
Probably the company reselling a returned (used) product without checking the condition. Ask for a refund or replacement. Tell them the product was used and damaged.

Wow I didn't know Waterman is international, will definitely try it.
@onemorepen , it works.
I have a Faber Castell Ambition in EF and it is very nice
I don't have the Ambition, yet.
Pressure in plane. When cardridge is used little ball is inside. Pressure push out 3 balls from cartridges.

I hadn't considered this at all, thanks, I guess it is a possibility

I have two Grips and fortunately both are great writers.
Well, I am happy that my 2nd Grip is turning out great.
I absolutely AGREE!!! I got an EF and it is irredeemable.

Well, the pen seems fine so I'll keep it, but I am disappointed that they would repackage it even with empty and dirty cartridges.
That's very curious and not good for Faber Castell. It's a shame, I have both a fine and medium grip and they both write beautifully.
