thanks for this very very pleasant video description !. It made me feel like being in Nepal again. After watching many disappointingly jittery Treckvideos with more focus on the faces of the heroes than on the atmosphere in the villages or on the surrounding panoramas I can say this is the best filming and portrayal I have seen so far. sincere congratulations to the cameraman !!
Thank you very much for your comment! This is exactly what I try to effect with my videos:). For me it’s most important to capture the landscape and the atmosphere. Thank you for appreciating that!
I totally agree. This is a beautiful and atmospheric video that seems to capture peaceful moments, surely the essence of being in the mountains. A gracefully modest cameraman indeed.
@@maltmountain I did EBC this past October and Aconcagua Dec 2022. Kili in Sept 2021 so I am trying to do one adventure a year. Where are you based out of? I am in Park City, Utah.
@@fredreynolds-onefootinfron5919 Wow, that sounds great! I do something similar, planning a bigger trip each year. Right now, I'm contemplating what I want to do this summer. Perhaps Peru. The landscape around Park City looks beautiful (on Google Maps), with plenty of nature and stunning mountains! It seems like there are opportunities for some cool everyday tours in your area too, right? I live in Germany (Dortmund). Unfortunately, I always have to drive at least 6-7 hours to get to the mountains (Alps).
Gorgeous footage. I really appreciate how you specify which mountains are visible during the climb. Amazing that you could see Cho Oyu, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Everest, Makalu, and Kanchenjunga from one place!
Thank you:). Mera Peak isn’t technically challenging. It is worth it primarily for the view:) Especially during sunset, when all those 8000m peak are glowing red!
Very nice video with great pictures , video stuff and pleasant music. I have been several times in Khumbu region, one highlight was the summit of Island Peak in 2019. Mera Peak or Lobuche are an option for me but nevertheless, the people in Nepal and the nature are outstanding.
Thank you:) from Lukla to the summit it took 10 days. And on summit day we made it to the top in about three hours. In general I would say that this mountain isn’t technical challenging. There are almost no steep part. But the views are really breathtaking! I’m still missing the time in Nepal!
I’m glad you like it:) For this video I used the GoPro Hero7 (the shots were made in 2019). But since 2021 I’m using the Hero9 (Lenin Peak, Khan Tengri..). This camera is really easy to handle as long as there is enough light. That’s why I’m not using any special filters.
As clients we carried in our bags less than 10kg. Up to the „Base Camp“ Khare the rest of our equipment was carried by porters. On summit day our backpacks were much lighter just filled with our drinks and some food:)
Hii, was searching for Mera Peak videos and stumbled upon this beautiful video. I'm climbing it this year and was interested to know if this can be done in August? Most of whom I've contacted say they only depart in Autumn and Spring hence asking it here. TIA.
Hi, I’m glad that you like the video:) is your plan to climb it next month? I think there are almost no climbs during summer because it’s monsoon time. That’s why most tours end in May and start in September again. I think in August the risk for bad weather is much higher and there is more deep snow.
Hi Upasana, I am also planning to climb in Oct end/Nov this year since it’s best period to climb apart from May. I am looking for tagging along with someone. Are you talking to any tour organizers? Ping me if you would like to discuss. I hate those guides who push to rush. Experienced 20 days ago in Mt Elbrus but weather screwed my summit.

Nice video Matt. How long did it take to reach summit? Is it long walk or steep walk?

What size backpacks were the clients using and did they bring a lighter pack for summit day?
