I have found with the G80 the ball speed is spot on when I’ve compared it to the GC quad in a lesson.. There is a setting that you can adjust for carry and total. If you push this out to the max then the readings match the GC quad… Hope this helps?
ive used a G80 for about quite a few years now and my unit is very accurate. HOWEVER, if you have anything blocking the full scope of its FOV to the ball.. like a rubber tee (similar to how you have in this video), the numbers can be quite inaccurate. hard to say if your set up made any difference.
Ah interesting 🤔 I did play around with it from different locations before I started filming. The rubber tee is only short as well. Maybe 5mm high. I’ll have to have a look at moving the tee to see if it reads better. Obviously, the tee wasn’t in the way for the driver results though 😬 those were the least accurate for me
If you set the G80 up on the course, can it give you an estimated landing position of the ball on the map of the hole you are playing. As someone who often has trouble tracking balls after i’ve hit them, that would be a very useful feature!
It doesn’t give any data what direction the ball has gone, so wouldn’t be able to tell you where on a map the ball has landed. However, if you trust the distance it has gone and you personally have a line on the direction, you will be able to kind of work it out 😊 With that said, if you know roughly how far you hit your balls anyway, it won’t be anymore useful 😊
Couple things: settings need to be adjusted for max roll; also this unit is vastly better outdoors & is pretty damn accurate for what it is. These numbers you gave are the worst I’ve ever seen or heard with this device
I was comparing carry numbers to be fair, setting it to max roll out shouldn’t make a difference for what I was looking at 🤔 I think it’s a lot of money to spend and there are better options 😊
@@TKGolfYT couple things, 1. Point taken on the roll vs carry. 2. And yes, obviously the Garmin is nowhere near other more potent devices as a golf simulator lol 😂 😂😂 3. You can buy this device as part of a package at PlayBetter for like $379 and then apply coupon for like $350. 4. It’s much better suited for outdoor play. 5. Look at all the other golfer you tube reviews of this device and accuracy levels are thru the roof for a device that costs $350. 6. This is probably the only / best device that you can play during rounds of play due to simplicity, ease of setup, etc.
@@TKGolfYT they are an outdoor launch monitor and gps solution. Ah nice! That could be very handy for others seeing this video 😊 thank you!
Hi mate, where is the setting where you can adjust for carry and total cheers
Do you have to set the roll factor to max?
@@LS12344 in the warm up mode, three lines bottom left, “set roll factor” then slide to the max

I heard that it is less accurate indoors than outdoors, maybe you should try it outside. Matter of natural lighting I think
Interesting 🤔 I’d have thought a radar unit wouldn’t have issues with light

Wow still long that even for a 9 iron. @TKGolfYT
Judging by the results against a GC quad with a number of different bloggers, especially with ball speed, I'd say your Mevos fucked!
😂😂😂 what makes you say that?
