Hello and thank you!!! The first coat is almost always gesso! I used it to give a tooth to the paper - especially this one that is light weight cardstock I had in my old stash. When I use Distress Mixed Media Heavy Cardstock I do not use gesso because it is very sturdy!! :-) hope that helps! thanks again for watching
Yes! It create a resist. Usually i use distress glaze from ranger but I don't know where I put it lol so I've used Vaseline instead. It is a bit too much creamy -- you'll get better results with the Distress micro glaze because it is not that creamy! See that the Vaseline went behind the stencil? Still like it tho ☺️🤣
Hello!! first of all, sorry for the delay!! But I was on holiday!! I removed the excess of vaseline after the background was dry enough. I used a dry paper towel so that the background didn't reactivate. To be honest, I did not use a lot of vaseline, you do not need much. Just a very teeny bit!! Hope that helps!
This is beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing how you made it.
You are very welcome ☺️
Love this simple, super cute tag 💕

Amazing process. What did you apply to the paper at the beginning? Is it white gesso or white acrylic paint?
