      Stock exhaust (for now). Waiting on the CS 80mm exhaust and DP. Might end up just getting a custom 3in straight pipe tho

    • @3turbo144
      @3turbo144  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jlhaynes54 Nope, but I didn’t expect it to either. Just an intake on a turbo vehicle won’t make extra power because the ECU (or in my case JB4) will only allow it to make a certain amount of boost. At most you might notice quicker response but it feels the same to me just better sound

    i had mine for over a month now. Just one issue happened to me on my turbo 3. I was downshifting and engine braking to a stop and the the car's Rpm was acting up after that. at idle it would almost be stalling. The car would be shaking a little. I Shutoff the car for a few minutes and it was fine after that. I was told to Unplug the Battery for 10+ mins to reset the sensors. Never did that yet since i never had this issue happen again.

    Do you follow the forum for the jb4 tune. I’ve been following it for some time. Burger tuning is coming out with a air intake as well as making a new map for the jb4 that takes an exhaust and a new intake into consideration. Have you ordered the 80mm corksport exhaust. I want to order it but I don’t see it on the website at all.

    • @3turbo144
      @3turbo144  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes I follow the forum, I mentioned at the end of the video that I’ll probably end up switching to it. The 80mm exhaust isn’t even released yet

      @@3turbo144 You are better off just getting a muffler delete and having it come out the twin outlets.The diameter of the pipes alone actually create the optimum back pressure and a custom exhaust with hangars and bolts will just drone.Have a muffler delete and weld it to the undercarriage--I plan on doing it to my new CX-30 at some point.I had this on my stinger and afte the exhaust rn a 4.2 to 60 and a 12.7 in the quarter mile with no launch control.

    No hate on the build at all, I was looking to do mods and on my cx5 23 and the stock Mazda air box’s are actually really nicely made. Honestly the stock box is allmost as nice as the trd 4 runner intake box

      I'm sad to say that there is really no reason to get an intake other than for the sound... Mazda tunes their intake systems really well, you wont get any power improvements. However you should change your oil more often with one of the dry flow or oil cotton filters like K&N. they can flow more, but they don't take the small dust particles out of air like the stock filter does. I have proven then with my own Oil analysis numbers before and after installing an intake on my old 3. Silicon was 30% higher for the same drain interval of 6K miles. Just something else to consider if you are planning on keeping the car for over 100K.

    Ya Not happy with the quality. It was and is a half ass attempt at a intake. To me it’s worthless I am looking for one that not just Performs but also looks good as well so when you’re at a car show you can actually show your engine bay and it would look nice maybe with a black chrome piping something like that cold air intake but a short ram on a silicone whatever gizmo not going to work for me! Thanks for your review buddy.

    • @3turbo144
      @3turbo144  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I didn’t buy it for looks or performance, I just wanted the sound. I’ll never enter my Mazda3 in a car show so it looks good enough for me, but I can understand wanting something a little better performing. I have monitored IATs and they did not change with the intake
