I remember Hole 13; played it at Am Worlds in 2000 and got a three, best drive of my life, right at the opening so that my approach was open, easy putt. Best memory from that year as that course otherwise royally kicked my butt. Had never thrown that steep uphill or downhill before; a lesson I won't forget. This was the year albeit not the course when Rock Searle had two Aces back-to-back, only player to do that in any Worlds.

As the spotter on 13 this weekend the play is a low RHBH turn over with a mid. Most consistently the line that got through. Except Heather Young who threw LHBH rd2 and with a pure hyper settled it with no skip at 40ft never getting close to any trees. Best shot of the weekend.
Jerm unlocked some backhand distance this year, he's got some raw power he didn't show before, well done! And so fun seeing James having fun, playing loose, these guys bring it out in him, love it
8:45 I usually do ok helping find peoples discs, but my friends only throw 200-300 feet. I cant imagine how tough it is when people throw double that and around a blind corner. Good thing they have spotters in tough spots.
Koling commenting on throwing first backhand uphill and then the forehand; Scott Stokely, years ago, said: if you're throwing uphill, if you can, throw forehand; you don't have the same traction/stance weight transfer that backhand produces/requires; ditto putting uphill: straddle, not straight on, easier to get hips into it, less stance/footing problem.
