Something I've noticed about Ohshima-sensei's Karate is that everything is kept inside. Other Shotokan practitioners like to "project" their spirit toward their opponent. Great for certain types of fighters who naturally HAVE that type of power, but for smaller, less confrontational fighters (not necessarily less-fierce, mind you), Ohshima-sensei's Karate is the way to go!
Easy for you to say, sitting at a keyboard. You've never trained with him. And I'm certain you've never been hit by him. I have. You wouldn't last thirty seconds. You can say what you like. Makes no difference. Just words.
I would not bet on that Ramon. Ohshima Sensei was a direct student of Funakoshi Sensei with some of the greatest karataka’s that ever wore a Gi. Such disrespect for an accomplished elder only reflects poorly on you and your teachers.
I agree... It's better to be thought a fool then open your mouth and remove all doubt... I've also trained with him and been hit by him and you're exactly right.
I would not suggest anyone to try him in a sudden attack, because if you did you definitely would get clobbered instantly. He might be a passive master, but it is the nice passive ones you don't want to try.

This is one of the last greatest Karate master alive .....
It is very nice that Ohshima Sensei slows down to show us his techniques.
Some of this videos have made a real good job to promote the real karate. Thanks for sharing.
Merciful martial artist
Ohshima can't fight anymore
