Facts
Only true animation wise, in a story aspect, it wasn't looking too good. In fact, if the anime was the same animation quality, it would've been regarded as better due to how much better the fight itself was in terms of the moves and choreography as well as some important lore points.
There are things from the movie that I wish were in the anime and things from the anime that I wish were in the movie.
True And there are also many scenes in manga that i wish were included in anime

Love the fact that you did the movie, better than the anime version imo. "Or so they thought" crazy how true that is although he didn't destroy the earth he is the only villain other than cell that COULDN'T be defeated by the Z fighters and even more so because gohan beat him by the end but NOBODY could even match beerus..........beerus is the GOAT

I didn't get how goku was breathing at first either, but apparently, they're not ACTUALLY in space. Goku was still within the limits of Earth's atmosphere at the time that he was fighting Beerus.
It was said that beerus wasnt even really using even 10% of his power that was just a trope to motivate goku to try harder.
I like to imagine he was exerting a little more power than what would be exerted to lift a sheet of paper
Resurrection F is also better in terms of animation and OST and dialogue delivery but show has better characterisation for Krillin, Tien, Gohan
One of the things I enjoy about this/the original version is that Beerus doesn't come off as much of a punka$$ like he does in the TV version. It's so strange because when you get past the Resurrection'F' arc in Super it's like they remembered who he was in the original movies and wrote him more in line with that going forward.
When I first watched the movie I was like how did Bulma not remember pilaf and the gang but to be fair she had the least interaction with them in OG dragon ball, Pilaf would be kind of memorable but she barely interacted with Mai and Shu
I feel like most ppl say Super is trash cause they cool friends or TH-camrs say it’s trash Them dumbing Goku down is dumb yes but it’s still overall really good

SUper ain't it. Toriyama only focuses on transformations after transformations. Its only about Goku and Vegeta.
Before Super came out, we got the movie. I liked the quality. As well as the second movie. It looked great. When the series came out, the quality was lowered enormously. The drawing style was brutally downgraded. As if a beginner had drawn and animated Dragonball. It's not trash. It was more disappointing.
Im sure he would have had a better experience watching the movie first. Making him sit through the first episodes of super don’t only spoil the movie for him, he also had to settle for super bad animation. I am 0% convinced those little details in the anime made up for that. Terrible decision making imo.

The movie version did everything better than the show except for maybe just the vegeta bulma rage scene is the only one i felt so much more in the show like he was literally struggling to not let the rage come out but it was just to much and he snaps, that's the only small part the show did better tho
The dbz battle of gods to me is about as good as dbz itself, but dragon ball SUPER is not trash but when comparing it to dbz it lacks intensity, stakes, animation is worse straight up, music, and the story telling + villains besides beerus aren't as good (except maybe one saga that you haven't seen yet). Overall its worse but not trash, its just because people love dbz so much that when they see that downgrade in watch quality you instinctively want to call it trash. DBZ is like 7.5-8/10 show but super is like 6.5/10. ALSO, that "nearly 70% line" has been retconned in the show obviously it turns out he wasn't using nearly that much power at all because of the new forms goku gets later and they still want beerus to be above him

@@chronolynx360 Bro I love anything Dragon Ball related so when I hear any of the fans complain I just don't care LOL DBZ is undefeated to me I've played every single game on every single console even have the movies on DVD and still have the Books :) that's one thing from my childhood I never give up on 🙌🖤
@@cameronn_terrell exactly, I grew up in 1988, I still keep my inner childhood because I'm small and short like a kid. We share the same interest you love dragon Ball, I love dragon Ball. But when Akira toriyama passed away, I couldn't say anything, I pretended I was super Saiyan, raising my hands giving Goku some of my energy. Later I stop.... that's when I revisit watching dragon Ball z for a tribute to Akira. I went outside going to the park, remembering my childhood of this days. But you know, it's been 3 months, still waiting dragon Ball daima and super.

And I definitely feel that about the childhood part there's some things you have to keep alive inside of you in this cold world. Those things give you the same happiness you had as a child and motivate you letting you know everything will be okay 🙂 DBZ gives me that exact feeling Cant wait to play Budokai Tenkaichi 4 in October 🔥😭!!!!!
There is a version of this movie online has been edited do you have a different soundtrack it's mostly the soundtrack from the Dragon Ball Z era
In my opinion, in the movie, they made beerus nicer and weaker/less powerful than in the show. He was also more calm and had more funny moments. I still prefer the show version of him tho.

Was gonna comment something like this. It has of course been retconned from 70% to less than 1% for the anime version and even the ROF movie. The proof is in the fact that super saiyan blue is 50x whatever the multiplier of god is so that would make goku many times stronger than beerus if beerus was indeed using 70% of his power.
In my opinion, the first two arcs of super (Battle of Gods, Resurrection F) are garbage because the anime is an extremely poor remade version of the movies.
Also there are some portions of the manga that would have been way better to see than the anime
