I never worked weekends or evenings, and I was able to finish my internship project a month early at a FAANG company. I find it hard to believe that 8-9 hours a day and 5 days a week isn't enough to finish your internship project, especially when you really just need to focus on coding since interns don't have that many meetings. People have different experiences, but my experience has been that if you really focus each day on completing your project, then you won't have to work evenings or weekends often or even at all if you don't want to.
yeah idk about this "work over saturday and sunday" bs. you do not need to do that at all, and if you are not keeping up with your work, you need to readjust your goals
