    The unit heats up fast and is super quiet. It looks fancy th-cam.com/users/postUgkxl8Od2BvnGbn1ffwqsuFXW0QnmcZgMiVY and can be kept in the living room. It gets hot within a split second of turning on the unit. The build quality is exceptionally good and is safe to be around kids and pets. This one is super quiet and can be kept on while in office meetings, my wife loved it. It shows the temperature right on the unit which is very useful and adding a rotating feature helps to heat up the surrounding, so other people will not fight with you for heat. It is right as described in the description..!! Definitely recommend!!

    I think you did a splendid job! I just finished leveling the ground on my sloping garden. I have no OCD, but after adding 4,3 m3 of sand (6 tons of special sand) and building a perimetre to keep it there, I have been busy levelling the thing for 16 hours. Levelling it a little, compacting it with a machine, adding quite a bit of water. Leveling etcetc. Now it is level and it feels like concrete. Your video inspires me to really finish the pool as neatly a spossible. I live in The Netherlands and we had 80 F last week but the expectation for the next 30 days is more warm weather as is usual every summer the past decades. My pool is a 18ft 52"Intex Ultra XTR so it is pretty similar to yours. Thanks for sharing!

    I’ve looked at many other videos online and they’re just not up to scratch .

    That is the most impressive soft side pool setup I've ever seen. I'm sure you spent some serious green on those rocks too. Taking pride and turning an Intex pool into a sexier setup than a steel side is not OCD... As some one else mentioned... It's taking pride in what you have. If you take care of that pool, it will last just as long as a steel side. I had an intex 15 foot round. I used it for six years. It came down every winter and was stored in my heated cellar. It never rusted or weathered much. I would have used it longer but I wanted to upgrade to an 18 foot round. Walmart didn't have Intex that time around so I bought a Coleman which BTW is on year seven. You should get quite a few years out of that if you take care of it. I'm ready to upgrade again, but cant find pools right now. Enjoy and once again... IMPRESSIVE setup!

    Fantastic job. Having it level is big and you have that taken care of in spades. It is really beautiful. I like the table for the pump and the blocks for the ladder. I will say that while I love the rock I would never put rock that close to the bottom edge of my pool. Even with your sand it is a bit close. I’d leave a six inch ring of sand before placing rock. OCD or not there are some great touches here. I never take my ladder out and usually have my 16 footer up in about an hour by myself. Then I just watch it closely as it fills to make sure the legs don’t move too much or get crooked. My plug in also lays in the yard in the elements and has been fine for 6 years. They are made to handle that even though your table is cooler. Next spring I might try the sock just to see what else I can grab. We’ll done! You deserve a pat on the back here sir.

GREAT job on the installation and the extra nice touches, such as the pavers for the ladder, the rock around the pool, the pump deck and the flowers. I have questions for you: 1. Any advice on what worked for you to level the sand; 2. Regarding the paver you set under each post, is the top of each paver level with the sand base; and 3. Does the solar blanket work and how do you like it. Again, thank you for taking the time to post a video of your approach. Impressive work!

      First off thank you for the kind words! I leveled the actual ground within about an inch side to side. Then I put pavers in and leveled them to each other. Then I put sand down and leveled it to the pavers. Yes the solar blanket works great. Not as good as an actual pool heater. It takes a few hot days to get to the temp I like (about 75 or more ) but works great! I’d be interested to hear how yours comes out!

      @@myboyt Hi! Today is a big day up here in Minnesota at my house: pool set-up day. :) An Intex 10' x 30" pool I am setting up for the first time. I used your video as the model and decided to re-use 2' x 2' outdoor rubber tiles I already had. Menards had carried them about 5 years ago. I selected paver base to level out the existing surface and placed the rubber mats on top of the paver base for a total space of 10' x 12'. Then I edged the rubber mats with Menards 3-1/2 x 12 x 4 Sienna Tumbled Belgian Edger Blocks (SKU: 1792687), with a 1" rise above the rubber mats, level all the way around the perimeter. Given the rubber mats as base, I decided not to put rock around the pool like you did but I really like that look in your setup and might add it down the road. While I was doing all that work, I dug a trench on 2 sides of the outer perimeter where water would pool during rains and filled in with piping and a pop-up drain and Menards Western Sunset Decorative Rock (SKU: 1803001) to somewhat match the color of the rubber mats. So far so good and thank you again for such an excellent video on your setup! I don't think this would be working so well on my end if not for all of your explanations and how-to in your video. :)

It might be another two weeks because Home Depot was out of sand. We are getting a lows delivery. But we are like you we want it to look nice and be right. I love the look of yours. It’s very nice! First thing you want to do, toss that cartridge filter and get a sand filter. Then look on you tube on putting on a wall skimmer.
    It will involve cutting the pool, some people won't do it because they don't want to void their warranty. You will find barring any defects, you don't really have a warranty.
    They may give you a yr or even two on paper but try to use it.
    Anyways I did it with my pool and it was a game changer as far as keeping the pool clean and the water crystal clear. It saves me a bunch of time on maintenance.
    I back wash every couple weeks and toss a bag of shock every sat. I didn't get the salt water kit yet. My pool has been crystal clear for 2 summers now.
    My wife wants me to add a deck and toss out that janky ladder before next summer. This is our 3rd year and I have learned that sand filter and wall skimmer are a must. I fought that filter changing cartridges every other day. Measuring and monitoring the levels until I was fit to be tied.

    Well done on installation. Now time to upgrade to sand filter and saltwater system. The best 300 dollar investment and decision you will make. Trust me. Nearly maintenance free and no more chemicals. Amazon has it for 276.01. It is intex also. You will need 125 lbs of filter sand and 4 bags of pool salt. Good bye nasty water. This system keeps my 18 x 48 pool crystal clear. No more chemicals. You are swimming in soft water. Very nice!

    • @gritter781
      @gritter781 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can second this. I have a small yard so we went with a 15'x48" intex (which I have set up nearly identical to the one posted, right down to the same river rocks, lol) and rather than even messing with the little filter that comes with the pool, we upgraded to the intex sand filter/saltwater chlorinator combo. We got the one that is $275 on Amazon. Not sure why, but the smaller version is $400... makes zero sense. Anyway, the filter is simply fantastic, especially given the fact that it was under $300. It seems to be fairly well made and is very easy to use. If I only get 2-3 years out of it I will feel like I got my money's worth. Anything beyond that will just be a bonus.
