Makes perfect sense to have a premium RMC at both their parks. Wouldn’t compete with their Florida parks, would be different enough from Pantheon and it would make BGW stand out from their Six Flags and Cedar Fair competition. Nice to meet y’all at Universal yesterday. Thanks for complimenting my shirt and my mustache! LOL
@@gasoline7954 I agree. Prob more realistic for SeaWorld in CA to get a big RMC, I’d guess SeaWorld Orlando would only get a single rail if anything, as long as Iron Gwazi is an hour down the road… but who knows. They’ll have to compete with Epic Universe pretty soon so they can’t afford to not keep doubling down on new coasters! 😎
All of these potential options fascinate me for different reasons. As this is my home park, I feel the intense anticipation building at what it could be!
BGW is my home park. While I’ll never complain about getting new coasters, I was never crazy about “Drachen Spire.” It was weird and not something BGW needed. If I had to guess what this project will be, I’d say either an RMC Hybrid or S&S Hyper. An Intamin Hyper is also a possibility.
I’m ruling out an RMC Hybrid. Twisted Timbers is an hour away as well as KD and BGW not building anything *too* similar. I honestly am hoping for the S&S 10 Inversion Hyper or an Intamin Hyper like Hyperion/Skyrush.
My home park as well. I'd love to see an Iron Gwazi clone with more drop and more inversions. I'm still upset about Big Bad Wolf, and verbolten is a trip down memory lane. So another hanging coaster would do just fine!
SeaWorld has been crazy recently! As someone who has BGW as their home park, I really hope its an RMC hyper hybrid. I think RMC could make it different enough from Twisted Timbers and it would work so well at BGW. Imagine having Pantheon and an RMC in the same park. BGW is already a great park, but that would be insane!
My #1 guess would be an Intamin Mega similar to a scaled up version of Kondaa. Main reasons for this is that SeaWorld has been on an Intamin kick lately, there would be part interchangeability with Pantheon, and the park could use another large coaster that doesn't feature inversions. Second guess would be a ground-up IBox from RMC, which could probably be made different enough from Twisted Timbers that general audiences wouldn't see them as the same ride. If it's not one of those two, I think it will be something completely out of left field that probably would be impossible for enthusiasts to predict accurately.
The hyper model vekoma presented to walibi Belgium looks like it would be insane, especially if BGW asked them to make it intense like lech coaster or wrath of Zeus instead of gentler like Fonix, as from Fonix we have seen vekoma can accommodate requests for such things. It would be a great competitor for I305, while being intense while not scaring the GP away. Yours is my current fave idea, just not the most likely IMO because they don’t have history with vekoma, but S&S and vekoma are both Sansei so it’s possible
Definitely I’ve been on dragonflier at Dollywood and it was the absolute smoothest coaster I’ve ever been on, and a perfect family coaster, better than Firechaser IMO
Well apparently the 220ft rollercoaster is slated to start in February 2023 - March 2024, and even has the space to support the lift if they are making one. If they are, it could be by S&S.
Now that would be a heck of a ride model debut the only thing that could come close is maybe time traveler because it was basically new trains on an already perfected Mack launch layout
As cool as a Mack Super Spinner would be, a ground-up RMC hybrid would be perfect. Just imagine the kind of things RMC could do with a plot of land that big and no previous layout to follow. BGW's coaster collection would really feel complete with any major gaps in the park's lineup being filled IMO.
Williamsburg has chariot and pantheon.. both can be seen as stand out.. phenomenal attractions. You cant compare one parks standout with a consensus top 3-5 coaster in the world
I was lucky to sit down and meet Mark Rose, the guy behind almost the entirety of BGW’s park layout and rides until his retirement a couple years ago. He had so many stories and so much to say
I think the two most likely scenarios are: 1. Some type of Intamin. I think BGW made a multi-copaster deal with them. I think the original plan was to have Pantheon have the 'Drachen Spire' as part of the ride. When that fell through, possibly for permit rule reasons, they made a deal with Intamin for two separate smaller coasters. However, the seemingly last minute plan to have Intamin make Dark Castle into a coaster may have counted as the second coaster. Having said that, BGW still re-applied for the 300 plus foot permit for Drachen Spire after Pantheon was built so I think Intamin could still be a likely player in BGW's 2024 plans. 2. The other likely scenario is to have an RMC single rail. BGW and Kings Dominion have consistently made sure not to have similar ride experiences over the years and I don't think BGW will build a RMC hybrid since KD already has Twisted Timbers. RMC has plans to make a single rail over 300 feet high so this would be a step towards that goal. Plus, a single rail could better mimic some of the inversions/elements of the original Drachen Fire. Either way, I hope they bring back Drachen Fire's theming.
Given the peak height placement/location, you would need an approximate lift angle of 45 degrees to hit 220’. The only two manufacturers that sable with that angle and height are S&S and RMC (B&M do for dive coasters). And given working history, I would say RMC is the choice. You could literally fit the lift, drop and over bank of Iron Gwazi in that plot. Will be interesting. Here is the wild card, Intamin Hyper/Twister, Apollo’s get removed and AC current plot gets a B&M giga. Move the station back towards Pompeii, greater angle on lift, and a 330 ft drop in to the ravine!! Pipe dream wild card!!!
An RMC seems like the safest business bet, IMHO. My guess is they have seen huge attendance spikes from Iron Gwazi (which they would have data to support), they likely have a very positive relationship with RMC from a similar project, and they now have operational experience working with/maintaining an RMC (that one park can easily pass to the other). Further, these RMC coasters have an incredibly wide appeal, and BG tends to like coasters that do this. An S&S build would carry higher risk because of more potential unknowns.
My dream come true is that BGW, especially in the Bavarian section (the best one), gets ths first American next-Gen Vekoma. A perfect Drachen Fire replacement. Time will tell!
I heard that they're considering getting rid of Mach Tower due to all the issues it has, so they could be replacing that with a Falcon's Fury clone? Or they could be doing what Cedar Fair is doing and putting in a B&M Giga that's different enough from Apollo's Chariot? I also like the ground-up RMC idea, they could even have elements inspired from Drachen Fire.
I think a Mack extreme spinning coaster would be perfect for this plot of land. The only thing is the 220 height thing, which wouldn’t really make much sense but I think a ride like Time Traveler fits this park and especially this section of the park, Germany, with the whole Black Forest essence of Verbolten, I would like to see that expanded to this ride. Something Black Forest, steampunk, German “workshops” if that makes any sense, I can’t put together words for what I’m trying to get at for a theme here. And I mean, Mack rides is a German company, so idk just sayin
I feel like a gerstlaugher infinity with a vertical or just beyond vertical drop focusing on inversions with some great airtime sprinkled in could be a great fit for the park. They could even give it a dark ride section and an inversion before the lift to add some great storytelling. It is unlikely but I can dream lol.
If cedar point ever gets an infinity it should have the enclosed vertical lift with the drop except randomized, so sometimes you don’t have it and when you do it happens at random height. Kärnan is just a different beast!
@@grassrootslandscaping7639 that sounds awesome! ive always thought that it would be cool to do it on a vertical launch. you could start it in the light then have the lights flicker as you stop accelerating then turn them off as you fall if its indoors to add some extra thrills.
Super late to this party but this is awesome! I think an RMC hyper hybrid would be a great addition. BGW doesn’t have any rmc rides so it would be different from everything else at the park. I’m only 3 hours from there so it would be nice to have another easily accessible RMC. However I would be happy if they get an intamin hyper or Mack extreme spinner. If they’re anything as good as RTH or Kondaa I will not complain
Personally, an rmc T. rex could be very possible if it isn’t scrapped. Only because I know many want a 300+ foot T. rex, but a 150 - 250 ft would prob be one of if not the best roller coasters ever. It would also stand out from every other attraction there. I’m not saying I think this will happen, but I think it’s possible. Also, the layout and elements that (I imagine) the T. rex coasters potentially could pull off is mind boggling.
You guys need to stop hating on Pantheon it is absolutely an elite standout coaster and I would be way more grateful than you are to have it at my home park
In reality with the reception that Iron Gwazi has received RMC would be the smart way to go and since it would be a ground up custom build making it stand out wouldn't be hard to do, S&S though, they have an element named after the defunct ride that stood on that spot so that would be clever as well but I'm leaning toward RMC
Word on the street is Alan Schilke is perfecting the same exact layout/theme/color but using his computer assisted track design like that of Tennessee Tornado.
God no. That inversion is so much better with speed behind it. Keep the Death Roll and rename the inversion Drachen Fire and name the coaster Iron Drake. Done. 😎
that new sky rocket 2 with the launch near the top, and i think i remember them saying that new model could reach 220, or 240 feet.. do that to replace tempesto, and ship tempesto to another park that could use it.
Oh no..,I thought this video is about the Coaster in Bush Gardens AND about a rumour about a 220 foot tall coaster here in Germany..so I was hyped :D. But now after the video I realized that it's only about the Germany area of BGW :(
I saw you guys on Monday the 15th of August on a drizzle filled day at BGW. I was coming back into the station on Apollo's chariot and saw you both in the que line for Apollo. I would have loved to have said hello, but you were still a few cycles away from getting to ride (Front Seat) so I didn't get a chance. It was still cool to see you though. I really like your channel.
Wasn't Pantheon 2 years late? They may have done a 3 coaster deal with Intamin which was meant to be over 6 years but delays have moved them all closer together.
I’m hoping the 220 foot permit is for an extension to the drachen spire project to make it full circuit. 355 foot hill with an extended drop by the water would make it the worlds tallest traditional lift coaster.
@@lastone032085 That's true. So many coaster enthusiasts seem to be obsessed with ranking them, I admit I've been sucked into that too sometimes. Having said that, I've never been able to rank the coasters at my home park BGW. I love most of them for different reasons.

I don't disagree- but a 200 foot version of it seems very unlikely. Plus when they already have Griffon, and thats another ride that does the 'dangle' gimmick, it just wouldn't make much sense. But I agree it would look very cool -Taylor
I love BGW, especially it being my home park, but they have a LOT of projects. Like, when Tempesto and InvadR were made, those were small projects, but now I can’t keep track!
A hyper from Mach or Intamin would be a great fit. It's not like having 2 hypers with a croudpleaser and a thrill machine built primarily for enthusiasts would be unheard of. And those manufacturers are willing to mix airtime and inversions, like we see on Flash and Hyperion.
As Busch gardens is my home park I would absolutely die for a extreme spinner. I think I would be fine with an rmc too but twisted Timbers is right there. But honestly I’ll take anything because as you mentioned, the park is in a roll with coasters
They could take the height record from Cedar Point with a 220ft tall spinning wild mouse from Zamperla. After all, the park does lack a wild mouse coaster that it's sister park BGT has
So I guess a sweeping 355 foot B&M with those massive lift hill supports is out of the question? I still think they should do a flying or wing coaster. It was a travesty that they didn't build a flying coaster where The Big Bad Wolf was located. That last drop flying over the water would've been spectacular.
Here an off guess for some park to get in the future. Zamperlas double heart coaster. its not exactly 220 feet cause on there site its listed as being available in 50m and 70m tall. 70m is 229 feet by the way. My actual guess is intamin.
The S&S Spiritual Successor idea actually makes a lot of sense, because Drachen Fire was made by Arrow Dynamics with Ron Toomer, when Arrow went bankrupt, who bought what's left? S&S Worldwide did, and that was around the time when Alan Schilke was working for Arrow and S&S, so why not have an S&S Multi-Looper, designed by Alan Schilke, in the style of Drachen Fire
Bush gardens has the land to build it the issue was the Rhine river when they wanted that b&m giga over the water but I see bush gardens what the cost of a giga they can get two coasters instead
Bush gardens has the land to build it the issue was the Rhine river when they wanted that b&m giga over the water but I see bush gardens what the cost of a giga they can get two coasters instead
IMO, a ground-up RMC makes sense simply because they are extremely popular, immediately become flagship coasters, and they unquestionably bring guests to the park. A B&M would sound likely if the height was more on the order of 300+ feet, as it's clear that parks with both B&M hyper and giga coasters benefit, but an RMC would potentially have more draw (and I am sure they have data from Tampa attendance showing success there). For that matter, I305 may not have been a commercial success for KD, so simply having a 300+ foot coaster doesn't guarantee success. S&S would probably be a big gamble compared to RMC from both its ability to draw crowds as well as its potential reliability.
I could see them putting in a version of Maxx Force but with a 200ft top hat, maybe even an inverted top hat to break the tallest inversion record again. I love Maxx force and would love to see an inversion packed extended layout version. BG loves launch coasters so why not one more. 😂
Actually, with intimin rolling out with the vertical launch coasters, I have a slight feeling that they COULD go with it. I mean, it would be cool, but it would be crazy. If it were intimin, I would honestly expect ether something like maverick, the vertical launch prototype, or, the most likely one, an intimin hyper. I would love an intimin hyper around me.
RMC T-rex? I don't see them wanting something that's a prototype though. If I had to put in a guess with the information we have right now a successor to Drachen Fire with S&S kind of makes sense (potentially S&S has learned from Steel Curtain how to increase their reliability)
They definitely could borrow some engineering from Chance (Both of them already work together, especially they shared exactly same train). But yeah, the amount of engineering to adapt big single rail track to chance's support design is entirely different league
@@CoasterStudios I agree, in part because they already have InvadR and many parks these days see one obligatory woodie as all they need. In the case of BGT or Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, none.

I don't disagree- but a 200 foot version of it seems very unlikely. Plus when they already have Griffon, and thats another ride that does the 'dangle' gimmick, it just wouldn't make much sense. But I agree it would look very cool -Taylor
200 foot RES Roller Ball let's gooooooo
What about a big Vekoma Wildcat style, focussing on quick transition and twisty elements. It could be a good introduction to North America
That’s what I was thinking. New gen vekoma looks amazing and bgw could really something with rapid transitions and ejector moments
I’d have to guess the ground up RMC or something with intamin.
Damn Busch gardens about to be THE NUMBER ONE PARK IN VIRGINIA
I love BGW, especially it being my home park, but they have a LOT of projects. Like, when Tempesto and InvadR were made, those were small projects, but now I can’t keep track!
Could also be a GCI with titan track (and maybe even some inversions)!
I don’t see a 220 foot tall GCI getting built anytime soon
Doubt this would happen but another cool idea would an Intamin Prefab
I’d like to see something big there, but when they built something high in ride quality like pantheon, the theming quality is mostly low.
A hyper from Mach or Intamin would be a great fit. It's not like having 2 hypers with a croudpleaser and a thrill machine built primarily for enthusiasts would be unheard of. And those manufacturers are willing to mix airtime and inversions, like we see on Flash and Hyperion.
maybe they will use the new TREX coaster from rmc or is that not really an opttion
They have a ground up RMC in the works . You heard it here first . Mark the tape !!
BGW is my home park and I am really hoping for the RMC hyper hybrid 🤞🏻
Project Exodus at Thorpe Park will be 240ft tall, so it wouldn't be the tallest Mack hyper! However I'm confident this will be a ground up RMC ibox
What about s&s axis Rollercoaster?
I’d love to see Drachen Fire return, but done by B&M or Intamin 😎
Well Drachenfire was supposed to mimic a B&M layout, it would be a dream
It was a b and m layout that arrow did but changed because they couldn’t figure out the loop around the lift hill
@@grassrootslandscaping7639 is would LOVE to see it reborn , but properly designed with todays computers and manufacturing!
We already did Drachen Fire by B&M
We called it "Kumba"
Drachen Fire was originally intended to be a mirrored clone of Kumba.
Also, one thought I had what if they skip the Dragon theme and bring back the Wolf.
Could be something like Thorpe park are building?
I’m hoping RMC “Iron Drachen”. BUT S&S Axis would make one hell of a new Big Bad Wolf
I think it will be Mack. Sea world has a history with Mack, and Mack can fit their hypers in small spaces with their drops curved.
7:28 Sarah got you Taylor🤣🤣🤣🤣
As Busch gardens is my home park I would absolutely die for a extreme spinner. I think I would be fine with an rmc too but twisted Timbers is right there. But honestly I’ll take anything because as you mentioned, the park is in a roll with coasters
Twisted Timbers is my #3 right now but I would take a large RMC hybrid at BGW too.
I think they’re probably building a 500ft RMC T-Rex
R.M.C where it's like a massive ejection air with a 110 degree wave turn
Bush gardens has the land to build it the issue was the Rhine river when they wanted that b&m giga over the water but I see bush gardens what the cost of a giga they can get two coasters instead

Intamin does build single rails too. Dueling single rail hyper? Let's get weird. They could shell out the big bucks for a pre-fab hyper woodie 🤞🤷♂️
Love the content
What if... vekoma awakens drachen fire?
The parks next coaster after DarKoaster should be some non-launched Intamin or Vekoma multi looper. Something like Lech Coaster or Fønix
Okay, hold up, Pantheon is a top tier coaster and I will fight you on that!
BGW is my home park and I would go crazy if they got an RMC Hybrid but I don’t think it’s likely because of Twisted Timbers.
It’d be cool if they made a Mack hyper and stuck a spinning car in the back, like how dreamworld did with their blue fire clone
Since it's my home park I'd take an rmc, extreme spinner, dc rivals clone..anything but drachen spire
Shipping a large scale Mack across the pond would be cost prohibitive right now. I'm guessing RMC or an Intamin Mega coaster.
A 210 ft version of Zambezi Zinger
-or-
The world's tallest Larson Loop would be kind of cool. Imagine the hangtime.
I wonder if a large-scale Gravity Group would be possible for this situation
If so, I'd hope they'd use a steel structure under a wood track. The Voyage is such a knock-it-out-of-the-park feature!
@@brucejensen2693 yup. My #1 overall
I wouldn't expect a wooden roller coaster there. Not with that height.
@@CoasterStudios you’re probably right. I was throwing it out there as a wildcard option
@@CoasterStudios I agree, in part because they already have InvadR and many parks these days see one obligatory woodie as all they need. In the case of BGT or Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, none.
i want to see a RMC but Pantheon is basically a launched RMC. Outer bank, zero-g stall, bunnyhills etc
RMC FTW!!!
I always thought a B&M wing coasters would be perfect there with dragon themed trains and it be called Drachen's Wrath.
i would love if VA had two RMCs
“Having 3 launch coasters is a perfectly normal amount”. Islands of Adventure would agree.
