WOW! As someone who has been going to Cedar Point since the '80s, and who played a lot of RCT when it first came out, I can say this is amazing work. The idiosyncrasies of Magnum, Dragster (in short form), Gatekeeper, and Steel Vengeance are spot on. Even the shore line looks great. My hat is off to you!
I’m going to this park for the first time mid next year, at 26. I already know like half these rides from roller coaster history videos xD can’t wait!!!!
Couldn't find the stop lights to tag onto the Dragster's frame I take it? Ha, no biggie, I can't really complain. This is some amazing work. I've loved the entire series. Can't wait to watch the final walkthrough tour.
Amazing work! Even the details like the Gemini red train starting behind but catching up on the first lift hill. Only unrealistic thing I saw was a running Windseeker.
Hey I'll have you know I did manage to get a single ride on Windsweeker this year!!! But yeah it's a bummer that it doesn't seem to run as often as I'd like
Outstanding work! I think you've done a terrific job on all the recreations - but I think Steel Vengeance is my pick in terms of overall replication AND looking the best in game (no doubt the new track elements help this). Congrats!
Very nice! It's a fun way to see the layout of the park as close as you could get it. It makes you realize how big it is and how the coasters fit int the park. I was paying attention to the backgrounds as much as the roller coasters (nitpick the Light House doesn't have smoke coming out a of a chimney I'd redo it lol I know 'Could the sun be anymore orange' - Simpson's Comic Book Guy) I've never done any RCT but I can imagine it's not that easy but fun to work on. Interesting stats on Red vs blue Gemini train differences. I'm glad you left Wicked Twister in there and TTD (original version). It's fun to see the other roller coasters running in addition to the one you focus on. P.S. I'll share it on my facebook page.
This is so cool!! Great work! I hope that someone in the future can do a completed current (as of this comment) Six Flags Magic Mountain. 😉 Keep being awesome.
You can watch me build the whole thing in this playlist: th-cam.com/play/PLbabtOSGZNUxZc7OFvXo0hi64w9JeYKJE.html It takes many episodes to do all the buildings and cars, but they're mostly in the later episodes.
@@fidwell But how do you have cars and stuff? That is what I find confusing. I do not have that in my open rect2? I just downloaded it. So I am unsure how your able to access all that stuff the cars etc?
Looking through this video only brings inspiration to my Maga Park and how I want it to look realistic. Seem to do it without fail and I need more tips/tutorials/practice to match this. Thanks you for recreating the park that I am loosing weight for! =)
If you try to build rides in RCT2 to have the numbers match real life, they'll look terrible. The scale of this game doesn't really make sense. My main intent was to have the coasters just look good.
@@fidwell I didnt know that .. didnt it used to max out at 256? I have been on classic for a long time bc my computer with openrct2 took a dive. Thats awesome!!
@@Meekimotosyoutubechannel Yes, the original maximum was 254x254. Earlier this year, OpenRCT2 finished its new save format which allowed a lot of old limits to be increased. There are a lot of videos out there about it you want more information.
I always wanted to do a cedar point. I live in Ohio so this is really the only park I've ever been to besides Geauga Lake which is gone. Everything I build in planet coaster or rct always resembles those two parks but a different shape. This is cool. I'd like to try but I'm not good at string rides n decorations like you. I would need a good workbench like you used. I would ask to use your terrain map, but that's plagiarism and cheap of me. I'd like to see this run in game tho. Or copy the heck out of it.. a Raptor is hard to build n urs looks good. Great job. 10/10. I shared this in rct players group and they know ur work is 11/10 this got 33 likes in a day.. everyone likes it.
I’ve ridden everyone single coaster here (except the kiddie ones cuz those are boring) the only kiddie ones I rode was blue streak and cedar creek mine ride and iron dragon
As I discuss in the Valravn episode, I didn't forget it. It didn't fit where it needed to go, given the constraints of RCT2's grid, so I left it out deliberately.
It wasn't until this video that I really grasped just how much stuff there was that you built. Fantastic job, very impressive.
Thanks!
I just can’t believe its finished! Probably the best open RCT creation ever!
CP is my home park, and I’ve been going since 1981. Your version is perfect!
ah man, you shoulda used the new sound fx, quite a bunch of them I recorded at Cedar Point, like blue streak, magnum and rougarou!
shoot, you're right!! I'll turn them on for the tour video!
I’ve been playing RCT and going to cedar point for YEARS. This is amazing. Thank you for doing this.

this man had one job, he nailed it
Congratulations!!
Brings me back to RCT2 days with all of its charm.
Laughing at how aweomse the detail is in this. Seriously really fucking cool man!!
This is awesome, I even saw the Cedar Point museum by Maverick and the Arcade

Awesome, should be a good time!
Congratz on finishing this mad recreation project! Can't wait to take at look at this park for myself some day!
Thanks! I plan to get it uploaded within a couple weeks.
Great job! You even captured the B&M roar!!! Nice!
Considering this is my home park, this is surreal to look at! Very well done!
As a retired LL player, The stock-ish architecture is appreciated. Amazing work sir.
This is absolutely incredible. Amazing job and recreation

Thanks! Yeah I couldn't come up with a good way to make the stoplights with non-custom scenery. Oh well.
Actually I take that back; I did find a suitable solution! You'll see it in the tour video.
Omg the construction site for the wild mouse coaster??? Are you kidding me?! It looks fantastic!!!
Yeah, I tried to add a few little easter eggs like that in there! Lots of fun to put together.

I like how modern this is too, you even captured the farmhouse grille
Yeah; I went a few times this past year and took tons of photos to make sure I was capturing everything right.
holy crap theres a lot of stuff in here, this is just pure amazing
This is phenomenal
I appreciate that you put the launch and drop sides of power tower on the right side
Haha I'm glad someone noticed! I even rode them myself to make sure I got them right!
the chain sound fits magnum so perfectly lmao
If you get the latest develop version of the game, there are new sounds that were actually recorded at Cedar Point, including the Magnum lift!
Dude this is awesome! Super accurate, good job!

Excellent attention to detail.
Can’t believe it’s done.. nice work
This is so impressive bro!! well done
I like how you used moving cars on the roads near the park.
the road with the cars on is so immersive, first time I'm seeing this mod
O…M…G…🤯! This is absolutely brilliant! Just WOW!!
Its finish already woah so fantastis
You did an incredible job recreating this but the only ones I would redo is Raptor and Rougarou but otherwise AMAZING job!
Truly a masterpiece!
Magnum fits right in on rct2 the way it flows looks like rct. And your supports look great
th-cam.com/video/qsC326Uj9yU/w-d-xo.html you can do diagonal splash boats you must know this tho
Yeah that's true; I think I did it this way to save room.
Absolute masterpiece.
I remember when Raptor was new
My first visit was 1997, when Mantis was the hot new coaster. Raptor was my immediate favorite though!
absolutely unbelievable
Will you be doing a map download sometime soon? Love your videos.
Yes, soon! I plan to record the final video next week and it'll be available to download when it goes up.
THE FINALE
Not quite; one more video to go, the final tour!
How did you build top thrill dragster
Good job
Can you put this for download? This is amazing work.
It'll be ready for download pretty soon. There'll be another video with the tour and download.
Amazing! Well done!
This looks so cool and very well detailed 👌 😀 👍 😊. I enjoy watching this video.
corkscrew was my first rollercoaster :)
I love it! 😂😍
Got to hand to you great job
Amazing work. It's been really fun to keep up with this series from start to finish. Is there a download link I can snag?
Not yet, but I aim to get one up pretty soon!
Did you ever get a chance to upload the file for us to download?
That will be coming soon., when the tour video goes up. Probably in a couple weeks (it's gonna take a while to make + I've been busy).
@@fidwell no rush my friend. Just curious.
Nice recreation! About as accurate as it can be given the limitations of the game.

congratulations is it done?
Yeah pretty much! I might do some last-minute tweaking over the weekend, but next week I plan to record the final tour video!
@@fidwell exciting! can't wait to see your next recreation
Funniest part was that top thrill dragster was less than 4 intensity
Yeah it's silly. Dragster mostly relies on longitudinal force (front-to-back), which doesn't exist in RCT.
This is amazing! Do you have plans on any other parks now that this one is done?
Nope! I don't think I want to do a project this big ever again. It was a lot of work.
Lol that’s fair
I had completely forgot they modded in RMC coasters
Yeah and they look great! I love building them.
PLEASE TELL ME HOW YOU WERE ABLE TO ADD BUILDINGS AND CARS!!

You do know, you got the opening date for Rougarou wrong... It was originally opened in 1996 and not 1994
Dammit, I always get that screwed up. Too late now.
@@fidwell it's okay. Lol. We all make mistakes. But you've did an AMAZING job though! Everything is on point and it looks absolutely phenomenal!!! 😍😍😍

10:29 why is that there
Why is what there?
@@fidwell raptor’s in line twist
@@mynameiskrysta I think that was just the best place I could fit it. Raptor's not an easy layout to do in RCT.
Magnum-XL 200 a 170 foot drop? And Millenium Force a 206 foot drop? Say what?

OpenRCT2 supports a map size of up to 999x999. (This map is about 600x600.)
