      Appreciate this whole project. It's a commitment but it works great for a podcast because you'll never run out of topics or ways to handle something, with how expansive not just NP, not just GTARP but RP in general is. You can always do it at a later episode and with different guests, tweaking things etc.

    How is Nathan/Crane going to say he doesnt play his crim because he doesnt want to grind when he's the one making all the laws that force you to grind to make money?

    • @m1lkbags
      @m1lkbags 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +22

      First of all the laws dont force you to grind money, most of that comes from server rules.
      Second of all Crane isnt just making laws himself, the original laws came from a lot of discussion and all new charges/laws are the council of 8. Not just crane
      Third of all who the fucks wants to grind, don't blame him for not wanting to play crim

    • @yunggod345
      @yunggod345 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@m1lkbagsit makes 0 sense for grinding to exist at all. Ofc it makes some sorta sense for civs to grind because that’s what civs do. But they shouldn’t be able or be forced to grind the entire day to feel like that’s what they need to do to progress. And crims grinding makes literally zero sense. Crime is meant to be high risk high reward. You can literally grind weed or moonshine for 12 hours and make less money than a g6 driver makes in 6. And if you get caught grinding as crim you lose an entire days progress. And let’s not forget a “heist” that takes 6 people to complete pays less to each person than a hunter can make in 30 minutes. And it takes 3 days worth of buttcoin mining to be able to even complete. Crim is insanely broken. No one would complain about big fines and times for crimes if it wasn’t literally entire days worth of grinding being lost to a single fine. You shouldn’t be fined 10x as much money for doing a heist than u even make for completing the heist. 20k heists split amongst 6 ppl is 3000$ each. If you get arrested for doing it, and caught with a gun, just the gun charge alone is over 10000$ in fines. Not counting the fines for robbing it. Crime is pointless, and without changes soon you’re gonna lose most crims. If even CG leaves, literally 90% of all cop interactions are gonna be traffic stops and that’s it. Just look at when K was in prison, the entire 2 days he was in there cops were doing literally nothing all day, and they were crying for hours about not being allowed to enter prison and start arresting people, just so they can finally have interesting interactions and RP. You’ve already driven XQC away, if you drive rest of CG away too you’ll lost half of all viewers and half of all cop chases.

      I think it’s different when you consider that (1) he has a full time job and (2) his MAIN character crane has so much behind the scenes work to do managing the DOJ, also (3) he has a cop secondary character
      so given all that, trying to fit in a crim character is tricky. also pretty sure they don’t make the laws that “force people to grind”, if anything in-game legislation is restricting grinding

    With this talk, I feel the consequences are still heavily skewed. If you want heavy consequences on crims, fine. But the consequences for cops should be just as heavy. If the crims bring the charges to court after serving the time and it gets dismissed, it should be fair that the cop get the time servered as well. If the crims should "know what they are getting into" shouldn't the cops also know what they are charging? If the charge is false there should be heavy consequences as well. If there isn't enough evidence, they shouldn't push for it. charge on what you know you can get. If you can't confirm anything, then wait for more evidence to flow in. They literally have 30 days to gather evidence. Not everything has to be charged on the spot.

    Nathan's take on the crims reward is content thus viewers ect is the worst take out of all of this. Completely discrediting the streamers/content creators themselves. As if those creators don't drive viewership on their own. That being said and him being in the position of power he is in, I hope he is open minded and sees the fault in his thinking. In my opinion the a great example of how Cop and Crim RP should be in the cells most of the time is what Aziz and Mr.K went through yesterday. It just makes so much sense RP wise that people can have a conversation about charges giving back and forth on why things should or shouldn't be charged and fined. The amount of times I have seen a cop say "put it on the docket" or "fight it in court later" is insane. It almost comes off as "I am done with this RP begone now" All that leads to is animosity between the groups. And no I am not saying its just Cops fault Crims also do things like the silent treatment for no reason and such, which in my opinion as well is really sad to see RP wise.

  • @uascott
    @uascott 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    1:25:47 I think the development/progression bottleneck or lag was due to how bad the PD was to start.
    Unless crims got some weird 1 in a 100 bad RNG situation during the getaway ( like invisible rocks, or floating books ) it was like a 90% success rate on getaways for the laundromat. So then the devs have to hold out on releasing the next heists and limiting how often they can be done to prevent PD burnout because everyone has progressed further than PD can handle
    Hopefully now that the PD has started to maintain and increase its numbers and retention, the progress can kick back in. Koil keeps talking about a big update, please let it be more than just custom clothes.
    Really wish he would check back in to the server and stop playing tarkov so he could witness issues first hand on both sides

    Yeah, you'd think so, but it's crucial for penalties to be fair and fit the server's rules. Just because you're in the game doesn't mean you should get stuck with anything that comes your way. When players get slammed with excessive penalties, it really kills the vibe and makes the whole experience feel less fun and fair

    • @HH-le1vi

    1 there's creating charges but making them stackable which is also terrible in design, when stacking is frowned upon and has been an issue on no pixel since the dawn of day i get they say its but Robbing a cop what are you robbing a cop for if its not for his items inc GUN so the charge for the gun should be where someone is holding gun without cops prior knowing who stole it(its whats the cops can prove in court) 2 Nathans take on Crim, why hes not playing crim, and then makes things worse. is an awful Hot Take 3. any business attempt in 4.0 via RP has been shot down by the council, because they don't go with it. 4. Esfand talking about Clown games oh guess what happened to that!!!! again RP denial 5. the take on cop lives over accessories, is NVL coming from DOJ, I understand impact matters thats flowing with the RP, but NVL is a rule so the charge should also match this 6. that concept of PD choice, should have been always a thing whenever pressing for charges, Ruth failed this Cornwood failed this process of RP 7. lawyers who take on cases and decide a new career should pass on there cases to lawyers who want to be a lawyer in the server.

      @@Moofmoof 1. This has been going from 3.0 2. it doesnt take a 3 hours podcast to figure out why people are upset, you can just talk to them in rp (mr k pardon as example) 3. crane already said he ooc watches crim streams, thats why anything cg discovers or benefits from, gets nerfed day after especially against cops or judges.4. lets be real, you wont change minds of admin players (cops, council) by non admin players (crims) unless there is a higher power like koil and this was the case from 3.0 where cops would go out of the book when francis is not around.
