I think racing on a RP server sucks if I’m being honest. It’s nice to hear these differing opinions although I still remain unconvinced. Happy people enjoy it but all the story arcs and interactions I have seen that aren’t friends in friend groups always ends up in the same place. Maybe it’s a you need to try it type thing to truly enjoy it and if that’s the case I totally get it as that’s just some things in life. It always seemed to solidify people into friend groups rather than create anything meaningful and inclusive. The thought of this shady underground racing scene for people to get into need for speed style is cool and interesting but the way it plays out is just ohhh these people are good/better at driving because they do it all the time so new comers just don’t stand a chance. Sometimes I feel the same way when mechanically good Cop’s Chase newer criminals aswell.
The puppet stuff just felt like a dev playing to me. Dev interaction shouldn’t be the grounds for creativity, interacting with new people should be IMO.
None of this is to say “wow that is such bad RP or anything” it’s just and I mean this with love for roleplay if players are getting burned out being creative they should take a break…not force themselves into a second life kinda thing. That allows new people a slot. Which continues the creative cycle. I find the mentality of just going thru the motions until dev/mechanic interference pretty selfish. The mechanics and dev’s are the tools to create not the be all end all.

Unfortunately, half of the racer population are just grinders. They limit interactions as much as possible and just grind for money and gne.

@@amaria9875 tbh I don’t have the time to watch enough to make such large sweeping generalizations. So I’m leaning on that sentiment being purely hyperbolic by you but I will say sometimes people just need a bit of encouragement to get out there on NoPixel. I can name more roleplayers than I have fingers who might have started out a bit slower and “grinder” who have become great. NoPixel in particular is a daunting task of learning mechanics.
