    Great video. Lots of questions answered watching. Nice job on the build!!! My two biggest dislikes were running propane and radiator in the rear!! Y’all fixed that.

    Lol that was my buggy that he almost went head on with. Pretty crazy. Not only did it almost hit me, if it wouldn’t have and took a hard left it would have went off about a 30 foot cliff!

    Very cool video that thing is awesome. I have a rusty old Jeep that needs to be swapped into a tube buggy. I’m not sure what frame to go with

    Nice , I did the double front drive shaft, and it works perfectly, but I did double slip, and I made really bad noise, so I have to do one solid, but it works good

    What is the estimated cost of this build?

    • @chrisdesertdog2162
      @chrisdesertdog2162  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      about 15k, but you could go way cheaper with junkyard axles and air shocks instead of ORIs.

      @@chrisdesertdog2162 dang I wish I started with a buggy build . I spent way more on my 4runner build .

    Why did you guys use such a small engine. Can it really put out enough power for rock crawling?

    • @chrisdesertdog2162
      @chrisdesertdog2162  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Because this is a very tiny chassis requiring a small engine (without massive modifications to the chassis). The goal of this build was to have a sub-2500# buggy. Crawling is all in the gearing, not horsepower, and this rig has twin T-cases. Go to any WEROCKS event; all of the top moon buggies are running small 4-bangers. Sprung weight is the enemy of a rock buggy.

    I am 6 foot do you think head clearance will be a problem how tall was the driver

    • @chrisdesertdog2162
      @chrisdesertdog2162  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am 6' tall and could not ride in this buggy without my head dangerously close to the roof. The driver/owner is 5'7" with a short torso and fits perfect.
