I'm here to report that six long years after you uploaded this video your method still works! Followed the directions precisely on my browser (same as yours, Firefox), voilà password revealed.

Thanks bro. I followed your guideline, but instead changing the text type, I went to inspect element then there was a tab saying "show saved logins " and there was an option to reveal password.

The only thing that i got is
@@konstak05 - I did it just like he showed on the video. I did it on my computer to find my password, then once I knew my password I could open the site on my sister's computer. It was just to get on to eBay, but she had to use my account. It worked perfect for me. Make sure that when you highlight it, you change "password" to "text". Then when the computer populates the password it has stored, it will become visible to you. If you want to change it back to how it was before, you'll need to change the word "text" to "password". It pretty simple, but ingenious.
This really help a lot, rockstar games needs to fix their website

What I did was sign in through my attached account so ps4, then I looked at the email because I apparently misspelled then I made the email and verified to be able to change the password, then I simply went to forgot password and then there was the dotted password. This should help

what is the name of this app on the laptop / computer
It is safer for you if you don't allow google to save your password. Because, if you allow them to do so, anyone can attach their selves to your own account and lock you out. Or you can just get a security key that is USB.
