I've watched a ton of Enslaved vids and lyric videos and I guess I kept missing this one. Love this whole album. Perfect road trip music for any black metal fan.
Great song, i've only just gotten in to Enslaved in the last few days (yeah, i realise i am kind of late to the party) and they are a truly excellent band. Prog black metal anyone?
Okay so while I wholly understand that artistic mediums are left to interpretation by whoever views/listens/experiences it, but I can't help but feel that this video and this song don't quite blend. Both are good, don't get me wrong, and I love this track because I feel a resonating familiarity to it, but something about both video and song track don't quite mesh to me for some reason. I see where this video was going, but it just felt like the video was meant for a different track. I'm not saying this is bad, because it's not. Its very good, well made and always an outstanding performance on part of Enslaved, but like other great bands I love, I find that the video doesn't seem to reflect what's being sung. This is just my opinion on it, and doesn't change the fact RIITIIR is an outstanding must-own album for any metal head.
It was made by some students of a film school and the location was a place outside Bergen inside a "naust" (boathouse). The acting was done after the band footage. I think the video was done a year after the filming. Enslaved also did a "live in studio" session in Etne (where Ivar come from) with more than 20 songs performed live in a studio. That footage have never been released.
I ❤ Enslaved! Hard working been around a very long time. Unbelievably artistic. The real deal in Metal/ heavy music.
This band is awesome.
God I fucking love this band, and I fucking love this album. Still blasting in my car!

Bucket list see these guys live. I watched the online live concert they offered for free during pandemic and it was amazing.

TH-cam's algorithm is flawed, Enslaved is life! While I like black metal being underground, this band deserves more views
Epic song from an epic album!

I respect the point you're making but if you read it back, you made it about four times :P

I'm not that much of a black metal fan (I would rather listen power/old school heavy metal with all melodic vocals) but this band is quite epic.
Well, it's not quite a black metal.
This is more along the lines of folk metal, but the black influences are there, which is why I love this band. Quite different
