    Don't do it, just get a cheap Ford. Just kidding!! My wife and I have had about 6 Mercedes in our past and would not own anything else. We did not lease, we just bought used every time. Love the Mercedes.

      Roger, honest thoughts on maintenance costs. Do you use dealerships or find certified mechanics that can work on MB? My wife and I are probably going to put in an order for the 2023 GLC when they arrive. Would be our first MB purchase, coming from an Acura MDX in this case.

Can I get direct contact with you for further questions of course I am aware there must be a fee for specific advice

    • @MBZMaster
      @MBZMaster  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Coffee cup is part of "Attention Assist." The car may notice that you're tired, based on your driving behavior (like steering, acceleration etc.). Once it happens, the car sends a coffee cup on the screen, letting you know that it's time to take a break or make a rest stop. You can dismiss the message by hitting the Ok button on the steering.

    What is your thoughts on a 2020 Mercedes GLC300 4matic? I’m picking up mine this Saturday and it’s certified pre owned and it had 40k miles and when looked at the CARFAX it was always taken back to the dealership for service. Is this a good buy and is it reliable? Also, should I always bring it back to the dealership or can I find a mechanic that specializes in servicing German cars

    • @MBZMaster
      @MBZMaster  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Make sure it's MB CPO, not some other type of certification, because it goes thorough more rigorous reconditioning compared to just some in-house certification. Also, CARFAX doesn't show everything because some people don't use insurance to fix it, and even MBCPO allows for some minor damages, so do a visual inspections of the door gaps and other points that I described in this video series. GLC is not a full SUV, it's a crossover based on C-Class chassis. So, it's not as capable off-road as GLE-Class (although 4Matic -4WD helps), and has less space inside. But it's great for a city drive, easy to handle, easy to park, very safe, and has good fuel efficiency.

    • @shaunmiller3342

      @@MBZMaster It’s Mercedes CPO and it’s coming from a Mercedes Benz dealership. The only things I didn’t notice was the Mercedes sticker on the front windshield on the passenger side but I could have overlooked it. When I pick it up Saturday I will be going over it again before finalizing all the paperwork. Do you think I should continue bringing it back to the dealership for service or would it be okay to take it to a mechanic that specializes in Mercedes Benz? And thank you for your help it is very much appreciated

    • @MBZMaster
      @MBZMaster  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@shaunmiller3342 The windshield sticker on that model is very low-key; you need to come closer to notice it, but it's proof of the original windshield. You can go to any mechanic you trust, but I recommend the shop that actually specializes in MB unless the problem is covered by warranty. MBCPO already comes with an extended warranty. Then, you take it to the MB dealership.

    • @shaunmiller3342
      @shaunmiller3342 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@MBZMaster Ok, I could do that. I have one Mercedes Benz mechanic near me that specializes in Mercedes, I’ve never been but was thinking about trying that place out for oil changes and anything else that’s simple. But like you said for anything that’s covered by warranty I’ll take back to the dealership. This is my first Mercedes so I want to make sure I’m getting a good deal and something that will last for a while since I don’t change cars often. Few questions for C class:
    Should I avoid panoramic roof?
    Is Burmester so much better than basic sound? Some says older Harman-Kardon was better than Burmester, especially in bas feature.
    Is smaller gasoline engine C200 or C250 reliable as diesel C220CDI?
    Are you fan of these capacitive buttons and big touch screen in new models? I prefer real buttons.
    New C-class W206 is 150kg heavier, because it has all 4 steel doors instead of aluminum like W205 had. Is this better or cost saving?

    • @MBZMaster
      @MBZMaster  ปีที่แล้ว +9

      1. Don't avoid Pano, unless you want to save $$;
      2. Burmester is much better, but basic is not bad either! Harmon-Kardon is good, but dumb. Burmeister is good and smart!
      3. Gas engines are very reliable, as long as you take care of them. But I can't compare since C-Class diesel is not available in the U.S. Generally, the only advantage of diesel is fuel -efficiency, but gas engines are superior in everything else.
      4. I'm not fan of any buttons, I prefer the Voice Control when I'm driving, or the steering wheel controls, which there are plenty on the new C-Class.
      5. The weight of W205 and W206 is about the same, when you consider the size increase.

    Hi,
    I bought a used E400 convertible. I checked all the gaps and they are all perfect except the gap between the driver side pillar or windscreen and driver side fender. There is no sign or history of accident. I am wondering if this is Mercedes mistake or there is something I am missing? Have you ever seen gaps on cars that have not been in accidents?

    • @MBZMaster
      @MBZMaster  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Never on Mercedes. Some small accidents, like fender-benders people don't report and fix themselves, so their insurance doesn't go up. Check all the bolts and touch the paint around the fender, including on top of the hood. See if it's smooth. Compare gaps on the left and right sides if they're the same.
