I had that happen to me a few years back. I'm sorry. And of course while the wound is still fresh enough to kill you there's gotta be something to remind you of it so it gets torn wide open again. Personally. I've come to realize people come and go. And yes when they go I miss them and it hurts. But that doesn't make the good time I had with them any worse. Those memories are bittersweet also yes because remembering makes me miss them more. But I'm thankful for the time those people gave to be a part of my life. And no amount of time spent enjoying life with others is ever wasted time. No matter the end result, the time and memories put into it are worth it

Since my depression flares up this time of year, I've spent weeks now at this point listening to the saddest songs I know of and the ones that hurt the most because they're the ones that outwardly express how I'm inwardly feeling
