The best video I ve come across regarding safe driving. Now it's clear to me as to why the UK driving std is so high. We simply have no idea how to behave on road here in India. Here driving is all about get set n go. Thanks for this video.
Hi sir , I loved driving in the UK . Also I was fortunate that I had an excellent driving school instructor who taught me right from the basics . I thoroughly enjoyed all the driving classes that i took . Yes we are years or probably centuries behind the English when it comes to driving etiquette on the road . Its not that nobody there makes any mistakes , there are people who do drive rash there as well , but overall the number of such drivers is significantly lesser there .
Driving rules in India are similar and as stringent as in the UK or any part of the world. It's a shame they aren't followed. If you read the Motor Vehicles Act and a book provided by the RTO, you will come to the conclusion that if we start implementing these rules 98 of 100 drivers are going to fail.
@@ikshitness You're absolutely correct . We do have the Motor Vehicles Act and a full set of rules . But not even once did my driving school instructor mention it to me . And like you said, not many even know that it exists. There's a channel called Cyberabad Traffic Police. Though it is mainly in Telugu, they keep regularly quoting the Motor Vehicles Act in their awareness videos .
I started driving when I was 18, after 70k kms I have learnt all these lessons with so many close calls. If you have just started driving do me a favor listen to this man.
I have rarely, if not ever, seen anyone analyse and accept their mistakes. Thank you for sharing. I have made them at times as well and I try to keep calm on the road at all times possible to avoid repeating them. Successful insofar.🙏
What an amazing video. Today, for the first time, I drove my Seltos like crazy on Hyderabad Yadadri highway. I touched 130 - 140 few times as I was in a hurry. I reached my destination but I regretted my driving after reaching it. Of all the days why did I watch this video only today when I drove poorly. This God sent video is a wake up call for me to be careful here onwards. Anything could have gone wrong and only I would have been responsible for the consequences. THANKS A LOT FOR SHARING. YOU HAVE ALREADY CHANGED A DRIVER FOR GOOD.
Dear Mr Naveen, thank you for your thoughts and inspiring feedback . Humbled by your appreciation . Yes, even if there's one less accident, even if there's one person who decides to be more careful whenever he/she drives, then the purpose of this channel is served . Thank you so very much .
Yo same. I don't usually drive rash, but this one time after reaching home, I was scared to death thinking what if a little girl came or i hit a biker.
I follow all the rules mentioned.. My friends tease me all the time for slow and conscientious driving.. But i prefer to be patient and safe.. They also tell me I'm driving like budda.. It doesn't matter.. My Life Is My Own.. To Driving Safely.. Thnx for this amazing video.. Salut..
Absolutely sir, I fully agree with you . What others say or think is immaterial, at the end of the day you and I need to remember that we should drive safe, and stay safe on the road and get home without any problems . Thank you for sharing your thoughts (including what your friends say) without hesitating. 👍
This is absolutely how I drive, being driving around Bangalore last 1.5 decades, eventually patience has been embedded deep inside me. I drive like a monk most of the times yet drive in the limits and defensive driving as much as possible. Patience is key, it might be difficult at first and get agitated, but eventually it'll come to you, good soothing relaxing music always helps to stay clam and focused
Thank you all for the support and encouragement and I will continue making such videos . Hopefully one day in future we'll have the whole of India drive in a systematic and organized way , the way people drive in other countries like the UK . Please do help me in creating road awareness and safety by sharing these videos with your family and friends . Thanks everyone .
You have mentioned all the points that i follow on road every time. One thing we need to remember is always use indicators for changing lanes and turning, but only after checking mirrors - the sequence should be 'mirror check-indicator-mirror check' before lane change. Amazing video. Hope more and more people follow these points.
Yeah and indian roads are such that preventing an accident from behind will lose you enough time to get in an accident ahead of you. Some drivers are absolute morons. And we have no dearth of them.
Yes agree. I do use my mirrors quite extensively , need to find a way of making a video of me looking at them as I drive . I tried using a friend's go pro for a short while but found it very uncomfortable . But will try and make a video sometime .Thank you for your valuable feedback .
Same. And I never made anyone on the road use their brakes because of me. That's because I don't trust anyone's braking. Yeah obviously in junctions others have to brake sometimes but that's it
I have a UK driving license as well ND I drive in India. All ur points are spot on..one thing on Indian roads is that we have to drive without our EGO. Patience is a must.
Really a valuable video.. to an extent I too follow those tips.. I think every driver should watch this video. I have shared it with my friends and family. This will surely reduce accidents in India 🇮🇳.
Thank you very much for the positive feedback Mr Imran . Much appreciated . Yes I told my kids when we were making the video that even if there's one less accident on the roads because of our videos, then we've achieved our purpose . Thanks again .

Recently I have come back to India after driving on UK roads. And I am finding it difficult and frustrating at seeing others reckless driving in India. I had similar thoughts to creating some videos of how to drive safe and checked if we already have some content being created in India. Loved your explanation. Inspiring me to make some videos on driving safety.
Hats Off to you Sirrr!! It takes a big heart to point out ones own mistake but what you have shown in this video is true to its every word. I too was and sometimes even now get impatient and frustrated while driving and make some wrong judgments but I realize if I make a FAIL it will be my loss.
Ohh, man.. finally someone making videos that makes sense and teaches people how to drive on our roads and making sure people also are considerate about other road users. Thanks for making these videos and educate people about road usage and manners.
Someone accepting his own mistakes along with pointing out the overall road/traffic condition is amazing. I have been driving for about a year now in Delhi and one thing I have noticed is that it is next to impossible for you to drive without any faults/errors in India. It is practically impossible to drive "perfectly" but one can for sure ensure his or her own safety which you have very well demonstrated here. Great Video!
Full respect for the commentator. Most people just lecture good driving but never accept their mistake. This guy has shared clips of his mistakes and acknowledges them before suggesting better driving techniques
Dear sir thank you very much for the encouragement and the positive feedback . My kids are also super thrilled to read your comments . Thank you again .
Best video I have seen regarding driving in India. We need to keep OURselves safe. We can not expect others to do it for us. Learnt a lot from this video sir thank you
Anyone who is new to the wheel need to once see the video and the examples shown, we can learn a lot for a better journey on the roads. Thanks for uploading such a video.
Yes I used to extremely impatient too . Even now sometimes I lose my cool, but the frequency and intensity of losing my temper has come down significantly compared to a few years ago . Thanks for your feedback .
The thing I like about your approach to safe driving is that you find mistakes in situations that didn't go wrong, but could have gone wrong. And you went into concepts like reespecting other road users, considering extended possibilities, etc. A different combo of environmental situation might've meant we could've ended far worse.
Brilliant assessment. We need more people like you who realise these things. Anticipating things that can potentially go wrong is the mark of a highly intelligent person. Only 5% of drivers like this exist on our roads.
Wow.. sensible and great tips for Indian Roads. Its tough to drive with such dis-organized traffic. Indian Roads pe gaadi bhagwan ke naam pe chalate hain hum. Just pray to god that nothing happens.
This should be part of the road safety all across India. Specially in Hyderabad and cities where rash driving is at pinnacle. And also this should be made available to driving instructors.
Sir you are an absolute gem! I believe if we just have patience, most of the work would be done. I just started driving 6 years back and I have realised that unnecessary over speeding (@120-130 kmph) and rash manoeuvres can only save 5-10mins in a 2 hour trip, so why put yourself, your relatives and others at risk. If even 50% in India start driving like you, there would be a huge decline in the number of accidents and road rage issues.
Thank you so much for your valuable appreciation and encouragement sir . Yes even if it's only very few who watch these videos change AND their driving style and become safer, and if there's even a small reduction in the number of accidents on the road, then the purpose of this channel is served . Thank you again .
I am having one of the safest car of India. But, I am till learning how drive the car most safer way with my capabilities and your video have made me to recheck my driving attitude.
Most of the accidents happen in India due to human error. This video is an eye opener by collating most of the common scenarios one can come across while driving. Key to safe driving like you mentioned is PATIENCE and keeping safe distance from the car ahead of you whether you are driving in city or on the highway.
Agreed , patience is the most difficult but it will come to you . Practice practice and practice !!!! Like you said , cannot overemphasize the importance of keeping a safe distance irrespective of which road you're driving on .
5:40 this is totally relatable as I am generally impatient when riding in city. This is amplified when riding 2 wheelers, as they are the ones given the least respect, thanks to ego of car owners. I myself pretty much knew the basics (which you must've understood from my PFP), but learning new methods to assess the road is something I like and would gladly accept any feedback to improve. This video has certainly helped me to improve my abilities. Thanks:-) Happy Driving!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts . Yes I agree with you , that people generally think ' I have a bigger / faster car , so I need to be given more space ' I generally let those driving faster to go past me , but the bigger cars need to be considerate to the smaller cars and bikes , because the road is for everyone , not just for them . A little bit of patience , to stay safe as they drive , and within no time they can overtake the other vehicles and go especially on the highways. It will just take a few seconds of waiting thats all . Patience needs to be practised , may not happen overnight , takes time to inculcate , but is do-able
Gem for video, thank you so much for making this. I do follow everything that you mention, I believe the road is a shared resource and everyone has equal rights on it. just because I have a bigger car or a faster car doesn't mean I can bully anyone. I also give lot of respect to the truck drivers and bus drivers who put their life on line to earn some living.
This is wonderful to read . It will just take a few seconds of waiting thats all . Patience needs to be practised , may not happen overnight , takes time to inculcate , but is do-able .
Yes, for me personally , patience is the most difficult !! Its not easy , may not happen overnight but at the same time its not impossible . I have improved a lot over the years , but still sometimes I end up being impatient especially on the highways . Need to work on that . Thanks for your comment .
Sir you got to the right point..Ppl learn these things by facing lots of accident .. You must be regretting driving on indian road.. it's full of impatient ppl..
When I get impatient I think if I am involved in an accident (regardless of whose fault) will I have patience to deal with insurance and workshop? So better to stay safe. Also we have to realise that driving is not a competition and just because we give way to a speeding driver doesn't mean we lost and they won
This is by far one of the most useful videos I have come across for beginners like me. To actually give real life examples and explain how to tackle that situation is very useful for people like us. The best part of the video was 'C-Considerate' which is absolutely NIL in our country. If only drivers in India were more considerate about their fellow drivers, driving would not be such a nightmare for beginners like us.
Yes i agree with you that we are not at all considerate to fellow road users . I just made a video about being patient and considerate, and remembered that someone had mentioned a comment about our country not being ' considerate ' in one of the comments, and started searching all the comments and found you . Pls do watch it when you get some time . m.th-cam.com/video/k-U7PCTM4_k/w-d-xo.html
For everybody its patience.... hahaha! Great lessons for new drivers in India- I have always found following rules and lines very interesting to follow- they are made for us! And our safety as one wrong move could cost a life between metal and machine! Safe driving!
All my friends overtake even if they have to push the limits a bit. I thought I am mad because I am the only one who is being 'considerate.' Now I know that I am right :) Great video, btw.
Yes , you're absolutely right. Don't bother about what others think, just do what you think is right. We need more and more people who drive sensibly like you on our roads. 👍👍
Great video sir. I had a P to add to the list. It’s important to be Predictable on the road. This can be through being on the right lane for the turns, ensuring you’re at the right speed for the next manoeuvre, and definitely using the right signalling through the indicator. The other guy may be a complete idiot, but we can ensure we are predictable and avoid a potential accident. Namaskar and best wishes🙏
Actually this is a gem of a suggestion. You're absolutely right . Being predictable to the other road users, and letting them know well in advance what you intend to do , can be invaluable in helping one avoid any kind of trouble. Thank you very much for this . 👍👍
@Ritesh Wanchoo sir , is it alright if I add this ' B- Be predictable' in one of my future videos ? I shall definitely acknowledge your contribution whenever I make that video , of course, only if you do not have any problem in me mentioning your name . Do let me know, thank you .
That's wonderful .. an awareness video for the benefit of bikers is in the pipeline . Planning to use 'Be - Predictable' for that . Thanks very much again . 👍👍
patience is a virtue and needed in abundance while driving in India. majority of them are so careless, that someone driving carefully gets into problems for other's mistakes
Yes @100rider , agree with you one hundred percent . Being patient can save you from a lot of trouble on the road , but unfortunately its easier said than done . And people unnecessarily end up putting careful drivers also at risk . As for me , personally , though I've improved a lot with regards to being patient , I know I can get even better . Thank you for your comment .
Yes, for me that is still the most difficult part . I still sometimes , especially on the highways when I'm just cruising along and enjoying the drive , act very impatient . Iam much much MUCH more patient now than I was a few years ago, but still I can and I should become even better .
It’s extremely difficult when you go from driving in a controlled and civilized manner to the absolute baboon warfare that occurs on Indian streets, thanks for all the useful tips!
Also need to honk once before overtaking a heavy vehicle so the bus or lorry driver is aware of your presence. I am saying this after driving a bus and a car. Heavy vehicles have many blind spots. Rear view mirror is set to see the rear of the bus only. Always overtake heavy vehicle by staying close to its body and not away from it. If overtaking from far away honk and announce your presence
Very well put video and really helps others if they have a willing to be a good driver. I had relearned my driving skills when I was in UK. I had a good instructor there and cleared it in first attempt. Be-P is the one that sometime put me at test.
Yes, one should expect the unexpected in India and drive defensively. I too regret the times when I drove rashly to get going quickly. But sometimes some rules have to be bent - carefully and well judged ofcourse for sake of practicality ..
Such practically useful information. I always have been doing this as I learn to drive but it's always better to learn from others. Thank you for sharing your experience.
Thanks lots for such super video keep doing more such videos u r expressions, language is very very great and very admirable u r English is super pl explaine about using roads and lanes and to not over take on the left of vehicles and say about those heavy vehicles wrongly using those 1lane makeing driving horrible to the fellow users ect u r presentation is very very lovely keep it up and kindly do more of such videos and pl send it to government authorities because they don't have knowledge like u r to express the correct method of driving road safety usages ect sir I was very very happy that u had made such wonderful educational video to our people publics if u could do it other languages kindly do it send it to road safety authorities they also would b very happy to use u r good video and teach people's public's
Hi Dr Vishal , glad you liked it . I hope this video helps us all to become better and safer drivers , inspite of all the chaos and confusion on our roads .
95% of Indian drivers would fail the UK standard driving test. Maybe more. Thanks for the video. Over just a few years I've noticed that driving quality of people on the road has drastically reduced and become life threatening. These videos can definitely help. 😇
Dear Michael sir, thank you very much for your encouraging words . 2nd lockdown apparama tha 'dash cam vaangitu videos pannalama' antu oru idea vandirichi sir . Will keep making more videos. Thanks again.
Previously I used to drive properly and following all rules. But after some experience came to know that your rules can make someone angry and might harm you. So, I started giving pass asap to anyone. Also, you are the first one whose driving standard i completely agree. In India you drive based on guess not on their lane lights.
Yeah, meaning if we have to follow all the rules in the book we will struggle. For eg overtaking on the right lane ONLY will mean that on many occasions we can't overtake coz there will be some lorry or tanker in the right lane, driving slowly . We need to improvise and carefully assess the situation around us and keep driving .
@@drivesafedearindia yes, completely agree. One of the recent update I have done during city driving is applying all accessment if there are childs beside roads. I just don't trust the parents at all in that case. So, my first response is always to slow the speed followed by eagle eye view on child...😉 I know it's exaggeration but safer option than trusting the parents.
I am driving for last 30 years, and literally majority part of world. I totally liked your video. Especially "be patient". If this is followed by at least 50 percent of people out their, city like bangalore would be breeze to drive. Nice video by the way.
Dear @silacaloutube thank you very much for your words . I have been driving for just about 13 years now , so an extremely experienced person like you taking time to leave a comment on the channel means a lot to me and my children. We truly appreciate it .

I am having one of the safest car of India. But, I am till learning how drive the car most safer way with my capabilities and your video have made me to recheck my driving attitude.
And I want to add one more thing for safe driving
Whenever someone is overtaking us, we should slow down our vechile
Thanks:-)
Happy Driving!
@@drivesafedearindia Exactly! Patience need to be practiced and it take time. You are going to be ideal father for your kids.
I also use similar tactics what you suggested. Very good informative video.
Its High time now we in india also adopt strict driving license rules.
My man ❤️ Very informative btw subbed!!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts . Nicely put. Using your own examples and their honest assessment is effective in making a lesson stick. Respect for you man.
Thank you for the encouragement Mr Swapnil . Really appreciate your positive feedback . 👍
Your patience on the road always saves you, that's a good quality keep it up 👍
Yes, for me personally , patience is the most difficult !! Its not easy , may not happen overnight but at the same time its not impossible . I have improved a lot over the years , but still sometimes I end up being impatient especially on the highways . Need to work on that . Thanks for your comment .
Best video I've come across .........till now!!!!
Thank you @ THE DRIVER. I drive a seltos diesel automatic TC 113bhp
Sir you got to the right point..Ppl learn these things by facing lots of accident .. You must be regretting driving on indian road.. it's full of impatient ppl..
This is the best attitude indian driver should have..very useful video.
This sir , going to my bookmarked list. And before going for any road trip will make sure I will watch this video.
Deepak sir, thank you very much . This is so encouraging to read . 👍🤞
When I get impatient I think if I am involved in an accident (regardless of whose fault) will I have patience to deal with insurance and workshop? So better to stay safe.
Also we have to realise that driving is not a competition and just because we give way to a speeding driver doesn't mean we lost and they won
Thanks for sharing your valuable thoughts @Acidrayne.. you're absolutely right .. always better to stay safe .
And yes, like you said , letting someone else go past you doesn't mean you've lost , this isn't a race . Agree 100% .
Thank you @Prasenjit Roy for your encouraging words .
Yes i agree with you that we are not at all considerate to fellow road users . I just made a video about being patient and considerate, and remembered that someone had mentioned a comment about our country not being ' considerate ' in one of the comments, and started searching all the comments and found you . Pls do watch it when you get some time .

I thought I am mad because I am the only one who is being 'considerate.' Now I know that I am right :)
Great video, btw.
Yes , you're absolutely right. Don't bother about what others think, just do what you think is right. We need more and more people who drive sensibly like you on our roads. 👍👍
Well narrated with examples. Looks like you took a lot of effort to compose this😊
Thank you @PSRGaurav , encourages my kids and I to keep making videos on road safety .
The best part was "Most Difficult: Patience".
Best video.. if you want to drive a car try to be patient 🙌🏽🙌🏽
Yes patience is extremely important on our roads .
Wow, I can't believe i found my way of driving video here.
Great video👍
Very helpful
On my opinion Assessment & Patience r two biggest points
TFS 👍
Thank you very much sir . 👍👍
Agree with you. A constant assessment of the road situation, and patience as you drive are extremely important . No doubt .
Best video shows how to drive specially on indian roads
Thank you very much !! Glad you liked it . 👍
The best video I came across that explains the mess called Indian traffic system.
Very nice tutorial. Hope all citizens of our country should follow these ABCDs, then there will be very less accidents.
Please go ahead sir. Your videos are for the benefit of the public. It’ll be my pleasure.
That's wonderful .. an awareness video for the benefit of bikers is in the pipeline . Planning to use 'Be - Predictable' for that . Thanks very much again . 👍👍
Love it even he spoke of failure
Remember driving is learning
Thanks for the informative video. You discussed the basic points which leads to chaos on the road when you are not careful. 👍
Excellent video. Very practical tips
This is something never even imagined! So much to learn and stay safe!
patience is a virtue and needed in abundance while driving in India. majority of them are so careless, that someone driving carefully gets into problems for other's mistakes
As you said being patient is the most difficult part.
Yes, for me that is still the most difficult part . I still sometimes , especially on the highways when I'm just cruising along and enjoying the drive , act very impatient . Iam much much MUCH more patient now than I was a few years ago, but still I can and I should become even better .
Great insight into driving Dan...Precise and crisp pointers...Well it's time for u to change ur profession..😀
Hi @ Sushi Sunny .. thank you so much for the lovely feedback . I couldn't help but keep smiling when I read your comment on change of profession 😀😂😂
Thank you very much for this info . Yes honk and announce your presence .
Agree with you sir . Need to be careful and practical as we drive .
I say you are perfect and finest thoughtful driver with patience
Very nicely demonstrated.. with proper explanation 👌👏👍🙌
Hi Dr Vishal , glad you liked it . I hope this video helps us all to become better and safer drivers , inspite of all the chaos and confusion on our roads .
Very good video. It is a good idea to always think that every moment is a test.
95% of Indian drivers would fail the UK standard driving test. Maybe more. Thanks for the video. Over just a few years I've noticed that driving quality of people on the road has drastically reduced and become life threatening. These videos can definitely help. 😇
Thala ivlavu nala enga thala erunthinga ?
Extremely awesome video...Thank you for the knowledge sharing....
Dear Michael sir, thank you very much for your encouraging words . 2nd lockdown apparama tha 'dash cam vaangitu videos pannalama' antu oru idea vandirichi sir . Will keep making more videos. Thanks again.
@@drivesafedearindia you can call me Michael, continue your awesome work.....
This kinda video might help us indians learn about safe driving... please keep it coming
Yessss!!! That's the plan! As and when I get an opportunity , will keep making videos to create awareness . Thank you .
You are not ' old' , not a' budhaa ' but a responsible and aware citizen 🙏🙏🙏
Loved the presentation, +1, mistakes and correction
Thanks very much for your positive feedback .👍👍
So, my first response is always to slow the speed followed by eagle eye view on child...😉
I know it's exaggeration but safer option than trusting the parents.
I like your honesty and very helpful video, thanks 👍🏻
I am driving for last 30 years, and literally majority part of world. I totally liked your video. Especially "be patient". If this is followed by at least 50 percent of people out their, city like bangalore would be breeze to drive. Nice video by the way.
Dear @silacaloutube thank you very much for your words . I have been driving for just about 13 years now , so an extremely experienced person like you taking time to leave a comment on the channel means a lot to me and my children. We truly appreciate it .
Yes , you are absolutely correct . Even if half of us can stay patient as we drive , our roads will become so much more safer and pleasurable to drive . Very true.

Please watch this video if you have some time . I made one specifically to talk about being patient and considerate while driving on our roads .
Loved this video brother 👍🏻
Stay safe 🤞🏻

Nice informative video on how to survive Indian traffic. Thank you for your effort 😍👍
Underrated content. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for your valuable and encouraging feedback @ Krishna prasath. 👍
Excellent video regarding the safety driving 👌👌
Excellent video, all examples were so apt
Thank you @heartmed for the positive feedback.
Very different from others and amazing video. Good job. I just subscribed
Thanks for the sub! The pirmary aim is to create awareness and reduce the number of accidents , not to criticize others / their driving style on the road .
You earned my like and subscription.. kudos 👍
You must observe , not only the vehicle ahead of you, but also the second vehicle ahead of the first vehicle.
Agree, keep observing as much as you can possibly observe without losing track of what's happening around you .
amazing video for the youth of india 🙏🙏
Dear @shauryakansal1081, grateful for your support and kind words . Thank you .
Very interesting video.. i do watch lots of contents like this, but this one is unique
