Yes, Shotgun-wielding Alfred is BEST Alfred. Case in point, The current Batman issue where he sprays the back of joker's head/torso. Gotta give him a hand!!
I freakin' LOVE this story! Wish there was a big hardcover version of it but now it's too late. I'm rewatching every Back Issues again, hadn't done so in a good while. ^_^
Oh my god. I saw this episode when it first came out. And now it's already been 6 years... 6 years. Good work ComicPop team. Keep up the great content.
This is still is my favorite back issues episode, it's so entertaining to see Sal and the guys excited for the greatest comic-book crossover of all time.
This comic was almost the best fight ever, back when mini-series were seldom and crossovers were rare and special. The writing was spot on, for both characters, and pretty gritty but not stupidly 90s "edgy". It uppped the stakes and had a few firsts for Batman. The sequels were handed to the regular Batman writers, so they don't feel as awesome as this one. "Oh you son of a..."
great, great episode. one of my favorite graphic novels. just bought batman vs judge dredd today, and the bisely artwork rocks. can,t wait til you guys do daredevil: born again. keep up the good work, guys.
Awesome I never knew this existed, now I want to look up what other crazy match ups Batman has had. And congratulations on 10,000 subscribers!!! 100,000 will be here in no time guaranteed
Late to the boat, but I have to say this is my favorite Back Issues so far. Sal's enthusiasm is infectious, obvious by the fact that we have remarkably few Ben/Ethan slow zooms.
oh my fucking god its amazing "IT'S ME BATMAN". 1 baseball bat 10 bucks, 1 cape 5 bucks, hearing batman is going to hit a predator with that bat priceless.
Wow i remember this book! I only had issue #2 but it was awesome. the build up of tension after Batman runs away nearly dead, then ultimately shows up in that last page in a mech suit. awesome i was in my early teens when it came out. Awesome back issues. do more of the facial zoom in's theyre funny.
I really wanna see a Predator sequel with Michael B. Jordan as Dylan's (Carl Weathers) son, who gets trained by an old hermit, Dutch (Arnold Schwarzenegger) to take on a predator. Basically a Predator version of Creed 2.
SAL! I used to love this book! I think it was my first Kubert book too! The copies I have are all worn out because I used to read it so much when I was a kid! And yes it was a good monster book! It would be a great movie if it would stick to just being a good sci-fi horror movie. Can't believe you did a Back Issues episode on it! I figured I was the only person that read it!!!
I bought the FIRST batman vs predator story in Georgia when I was nine or ten! I love predator and batman They need to make a real movie or anime film version It'd be so fucking awesomely intense
Finally! Just so you guys know you are now my new favorite channel on TH-cam. Also an idea I had for a new series (or a one time special thing) is a video about you guys talking about stories from when you were younger. Just random/cool stories.
Sal, did you ever read Superman V.S. Aliens? That three issue mini-series gave me pretty much the same reaction when I was 8 years old. Coolest/most messed up comic EVER when I was a kid. Love to hear your thoughts and keep up the good work!
I often wonder about what it would be like if characters crossovered. Then I take a look at my wrist and my NF:AVP band and remeber that it just won't work.
This is one of my favorite back issues, good job guys and the comic sounds awesome I'm defiantly going to picking it up! Oh by the way Sal you said you have a list of comics you want to do for back issues is it cool if you share it?
Actually in AVP, the predator dies after killing the Alien Queen because it was impregnated. In the beginning of AVP R, a whole spaceship crew of predators crash lands and dies. At the end, the military blows the whole town up with the last predator and the aliens caught in the blast. Nobody won in those movies....except maybe Weyland-Yutani since they got the predator weapon in the end. Good episode by the way.
6 years late for this, but incorrect. Scar in AVP dies because the queen impaled him with her tail right before she got dragged down into the water. He was already dead when the predalien chestburster emerged at the end.
Sal!!! You REALLY need to make a compilation video of all your impressions of Alan Moore. It is the best one EVER and you do it with such sarcasm and distain. It makes my day every time I happen across one in a video
This is one of my favorite Batman stories. I use to have the whole trilogy. Now l only have the third one which sucks because its the wrost of the three.
I was trying to watch this episode quietly, and I almost made it. But for some reason at the very end when you're talking about Predator's necklace of tiny skull and Ethan says "They look like gerbils" I completely lost it. I guess it was the mental image of the predator walking into a mall pet shop and slaughtering cage after cage full of mice, gerbils, turtles and puppies to collect their skulls.
your discussion on how good the formula is for a good predator film makde me think of dredd, and how fuckin awesome that film was, even thoug its not related to predator it had the perfect action movie formula down too...i'm now pausing and putting on Dredd, gawd its soooo gooood
I kept scrolling past this video because the title of the comic completely turned me off, the idea of crossing over two completely different franchises means to me that it automatically will suck. But then on this random morning I was thinking, man, one of the greatest detectives versus the galaxy's greatest stealth-warrior? I'll watch the review now. And now I'm sold on this story. So thanks ComicPOP crew for selling me into stories I'd initially think would suck. U guys r great
Pretty much any story can be made awesome by the Predator showing up. Like, upon reflection as an adult, AVP: Requiem is garbage, but "Wolf", the "cleaner" Predator that's sent to Earth not for sport hunting, but because he has a JOB to do (destroy the Predalien abomination and wipe away all evidence of Aliens on Earth)? He's AWESOME.
The reason why batman thinks its a mob hit is that mobster used to cut of the head and the hands of the hit and throw them in a body of water because those are the identify features. PS i very much enjoy your content keep up the work.
I have to say, I thought this book would be a complete waste of time, but it sounds surprisingly good, I'm intrigued enough to pick it up. Great job as always guys! Have you ever considered doing Spider Island? I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on that.
Fascinating point about how the good Predator media has a strong core story to which the Predator is inserted. It makes sense why the sequels are that much weaker since some of those settings were awful. P.S. Awesome bat suit.
Yes, Shotgun-wielding Alfred is BEST Alfred. Case in point, The current Batman issue where he sprays the back of joker's head/torso. Gotta give him a hand!!
bruce: they're not coming back
alfred: and why is that, sir?
bruce...BECAUSE I'M THE GODDAMN BATMAN
This was almost a decade ago…how? I remember watching this when it came out. And how does comic pop not have 1,000,000 subs??? Makes no sense
Even the Predators know how badass Batman is, after he defeated one of their own with his greatest gadget ever:
*THE BAT-BAT!*
I know it would still, technically be a Louisville Slugger. IT'S THE BAT-BAT, NOW!
+Just Some Guy with a Mustache im so jealous i didn't think of that
I freakin' LOVE this story! Wish there was a big hardcover version of it but now it's too late. I'm rewatching every Back Issues again, hadn't done so in a good while. ^_^
"And then the Predator shows up."
Needs to be a thing.
Every now and then I revisit this just because of how nostalgically happy Sal is for this whole story!
And for that frickin AvPvT pitch!
Oh my god. I saw this episode when it first came out.
And now it's already been 6 years... 6 years.
Good work ComicPop team. Keep up the great content.
Predator gets a taste for Bat after this, so many sequels.
You guys deserve way more subs!
Brimzee84 Thanks Brimzee!
@@comicpop got em
they got em dont worry
This is still is my favorite back issues episode, it's so entertaining to see Sal and the guys excited for the greatest comic-book crossover of all time.
After rewatching this i gotta go back to the batman vs aliens episodes. so good, both the comics and the commentary
Comicpop made me die hard a comics fan. Thanks for your podcast.
I want Arnold Schwarzenegger in that action movie style Batman vs Predator, BUT, he has to play Mr. Freeze. xD
Let's kick some ice.
Freeze vs Predator
This was one of the best ones in a long time. And I love all of them.
Thank you, Mercy! And Skeletor thanks you... ;)
As soon as I saw the Batman Versus Predator action figures NECA revealed today, I HAD to go and re-watch this Back Issues.
I remember reading this back in the day, and I still have the trade. This is still one of my favorite Batman stories
Also, you guys should do amalgam comics someday.
It’s cool to think of Batman to this day having the Predator’s sword in the batcave.
You need to do RoboCop Versus The Terminator next! It came out a year after this comic did and its just ridiculous how much blood they put into it
great, great episode. one of my favorite graphic novels. just bought batman vs judge dredd today, and the bisely artwork rocks. can,t wait til you guys do daredevil: born again. keep up the good work, guys.
Awesome I never knew this existed, now I want to look up what other crazy match ups Batman has had. And congratulations on 10,000 subscribers!!! 100,000 will be here in no time guaranteed
I just bought the trade of this off EBay, can’t wait to read it
Late to the boat, but I have to say this is my favorite Back Issues so far. Sal's enthusiasm is infectious, obvious by the fact that we have remarkably few Ben/Ethan slow zooms.
Well obviously it's imperative I need to rewatch this after the BvP2:BM episode.
I had no idea how much I wanted this, until you gave it to me... The BEST!
Around 40:00, if only “then” sal knew, all these pitches were only missing boats
oh my fucking god its amazing "IT'S ME BATMAN". 1 baseball bat 10 bucks, 1 cape 5 bucks, hearing batman is going to hit a predator with that bat priceless.
Finally! A back issues not posted at 2:00 AM! Love you guys!
Please oh please put that comic on sale. I would buy it in a heartbeat! That sounds awesome!!
I love that you guys just sit around talking about what you guys want to make or do :)
Batman Vs Predator - the best cross-over of all time.
Lol Thank you guys. That thumbs up ending had me busting up laughing . Congrats on 10k subscribers

AVP already had the best Tag line, "Whoever wins, we lose"
I really wanna see a Predator sequel with Michael B. Jordan as Dylan's (Carl Weathers) son, who gets trained by an old hermit, Dutch (Arnold Schwarzenegger) to take on a predator. Basically a Predator version of Creed 2.

This was a really fun episode, and the ending was great!! Thanks guys
This was f**king amazing! I enjoyed this very much. You've got another Subscriber!
+Golden Goliath Productions Thanks man!
I'd want to see Aquaman vs Predator, now. We could call it "AvP: The Good One".
I bought the FIRST batman vs predator story in Georgia when I was nine or ten!
I love predator and batman
They need to make a real movie or anime film version
It'd be so fucking awesomely intense
Loved this series when I was younger! Now Disney has fox, gave Predator to Marvel, and I feel like I'm the only one that wants Punisher vs Predator
Have this one in a jungle to give frank nam ptsd.
And they both fought Archie before.
@@Ridley882 totally forgot about the Archie Predator crossover. I still got the Punisher one
Best back issues ever. Looks like you guys had a lot of fun. Made me wish I was there lol.
One of the best episodes, keep up the good work.

I often wonder about what it would be like if characters crossovered. Then I take a look at my wrist and my NF:AVP band and remeber that it just won't work.
Jeff Batista 😂😂😂
Batman's one weakness: he hasn't seen Predator
Robocop, Predator, Aliens... so many cross overs at that time. Thanks for the episode of nostalgia. The AvP arcade game was the best one BTW.
You need to release your full AvPvR script treatment! It sounds so badass!
This is one of my favorite back issues, good job guys and the comic sounds awesome I'm defiantly going to picking it up! Oh by the way Sal you said you have a list of comics you want to do for back issues is it cool if you share it?

"Woah woah no, sorry Batman you're on your own. Call our union" lol congrats on getting 10k+ subscribers guys.
I collected these back in the day. I remember loving it.
+Cm Mosher You remember right!
I actually enjoyed the first Supes vs Aliens
+Cm Mosher It's good
Great video as always. I really want to get this but have a feeling it's going to be impossible to find...
coming here after the alien episode!!!! :)
Funny you compared Predator movies to Die Hard, John McTiernan directed both! :D
Carl Urban
He was amazing in Dredd
He can act in a costume
I cant believe I never watched this episode, this was fucking awesome!!
The thumbnail was redone for this. That's cool
Wow, I've never heard of this, but I love Batman and Predator, so this sounds fucking awesome, and from what you've said, it is fucking awesome.
sals impressions are the best impressions
Make the Terminator that gets its head lopped off by the predator a T-1000 so it just grows a new head. Now we cookin!
Love the show! You guys should do Batman Court of Owls!
Do you guys have a podcast cuz I like hearing this when I'm working out lol helps keep my mind focused lol
My god this episode was fucking great
You gotta give a junkyard dog a badass name ya know to keep the kids and predators out of the junkyard.
This is one of my favorite Batman stories. I use to have the whole trilogy. Now l only have the third one which sucks because its the wrost of the three.

Have you read and can you do Batman Aliens.
I remember really loving this when I read it as a kid plus there is a crocodile alien hybrid!
Do Batman vs Predator 3! Its amazing and has Tim Drake in it and Batman and Robin take on a Predator Father and Son team!
They should hire the guy who played Trask in Days of Future Past to be Batman.
+Allen Babylon Hahaha! Dinkledge?
+TheRealDorkKnights HE IS THE NIGHT
Oh my god haha!
I really enjoyed this back issues. I'm going to buy the paper back off of amazon which includes all three BvP books.
By wielding a bat, I feel like Batman is tossing an "F YOU" to the Joker by sinking to the lowest form of comedy... the pun.
I'm watching an eclispse of the sun and listening to this!
your discussion on how good the formula is for a good predator film makde me think of dredd, and how fuckin awesome that film was, even thoug its not related to predator it had the perfect action movie formula down too...i'm now pausing and putting on Dredd, gawd its soooo gooood
Best.Back Issues.EVER lmao I loved this one
I wanna see deathstroke vs predator
Did you guys see there's a new miniseries of Archie vs Predator ?!
Lol

Really hope Dark horse does a reprint of this like just did for Aliens
You know your not making the top rank on the professional Predator hierarchy when most of your kills are gerbils
Check out this fan film of BvP that i cam across!th-cam.com/video/MOB13T6Zmh8/w-d-xo.html
That was badass! You should do batman/aliens.

I guess he didn't have Bat-Mud on his belt that day
"Kids vs Predator" shirts
Classic comic at its best.
Best... Back issues.... EVEEEEER
such a great comic and would been a dope movie
I have to say, I thought this book would be a complete waste of time, but it sounds surprisingly good, I'm intrigued enough to pick it up. Great job as always guys!
Have you ever considered doing Spider Island? I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on that.
Batman used a baseball bat to defeat the first Predator that went to Gotham. He used a bat because he is... You guessed it! BAT-man.
I'm up for a Alien v Predator v Terminator comic.
Fascinating point about how the good Predator media has a strong core story to which the Predator is inserted. It makes sense why the sequels are that much weaker since some of those settings were awful.
P.S. Awesome bat suit.
Did the Predator get to observe Batmans trophy room? that'd be cool for it to realize they're both kinda the same.
Sal, Predator 2 came out a year before this book.
