Some might be bothered by this statement, but I truly believe Potter is the greatest saxophonist to have ever lived. Its as if the prowess of all the great players before him-Prez, Hawkins, Rollins, Bird, Trane, Gordon, Henderson, Brecker, and so on-are combined into one elevated entity
Such beautiful melodies he creates, and an obvious technical mastery of his instrument.

Quelle maîtrise de l'instrument !! Et de l'harmonie .. Merci Mr Potter !!
WOW!! What an amazing, wonderful musician...I loved how he incorporated the chord structures into the piece all the way through.
This is extraordinary. Its like JS Bach meets John Coltrane. Right up there with Mike Breckers interpretations on this tune.
Tremendo saxofonista, muy bueno!!!
The ten minute mark is super soulful. Love it!
10.22 the lick!
hell yes
Great to hear so much technique and inventiveness
I like the part around 9:30 when he sounds like that classical music they play in a really intense luxury car commercial
it's technically brilliant, but never at the cost of unnaturalness... amazing!
He is my fave saxist, along with Redman and Garrett. Sick musicians.
nos ¨cascos¨.
