Bought the pattern and made this for my 4yo this Halloween - came out great! It was my first time ever working with eva foam so there was a bit of a learning curve, and it took me longer than I expected, but I truly enjoyed it and my son hasn't stopped thanking me 🥰 I will say, for anyone else thinking of making this for a similar aged child (avg sized 4 year old boy, maybe 42" tall) you should scale down into the 80s when printing the patterns. I think I ended up using 88% or maybe even 85% scale for some pieces. I made the helmet/mask at 94% and it was SUPER big on him, and I unfortunately didn't have the time or materials to start over. Nevertheless, the costume came out great and I can't wait for the next opportunity to make a costume this way. Thank you!!!!
What is the exact glue that you use because your stuff glues up instantly and this rubber cement or contact cement isn't working for me, I have to sit there and hold it for several minutes or it separates instantly.
What type of glue did you all use to glue the foam pieces together because I used Gorilla Glue, Elmers Quick Dry Craft Bond and it won’t still. Need help pls 😭
You did an wesome job! How long have you been doing foam costumes? Did you create the patterns from scratch using a aluminum foil form with masking tape like I've seen elsewhere?

You have to use rubber cement. Apply to both parts, allow to "dry" (it gets tacky, it doesn't really dry), and then stick the two pieces together.
