Well said Brenden. I have a sister who lives a long way from me - the only close family that I have. We maintain contact as often as possible and catch up when we can. We're both in our 60s so time isn't on our side, so making the most of our time with loved one is important. Cheers and thanks for the positive outlook. Cheers and have a great day. Sean.
Hey Sean as always thanks for watching and leaving another comment as I do appreciate it. Time is going by isn't it? So you've got to enjoy the time you have together while you have it. Have a great day today mate 👍
This video really resonated with me. I am a divorcee of many years with adult children and an elderly mom who needs me to drop in every day. There are difficult conversations that I have had with my children, probably more to come. I get tired with visiting mom and doing things for her, but remind myself that one day she will no longer be here. So I try to remain tolerant and grateful
Hey Anne-Marie thanks for watching and leaving a comment here as I do appreciate it. I'm in a very similar situation to you. Although I don't get sick of visiting Mum because I know she's not going to be here forever and she's done a lot for me over the years. Good luck on the path ahead and make sure you have a great day today 👍
Thanks for sharing. Its easy for some families to bond but hard for others to even talk.I tried hard to bring harmony into my late fathers family but it failed. Being the first born, had lots of responsibilities since my dad died 30 years ago when i was barely 30. I worked and helped my 8 sibling into adulthood but they never appreciated because they still expect me to do everything even when i'm a granny myself. My mum,in her 80's seems to divide her family and so i stopped alot of interactions with them. They are not honest. Thank God if you live that life full of laughter with siblings or the elderly parents.Surprisingly they all profess being born again.

I'm sorry to hear that Tim. I know my mum won't be around forever that's why I'm making sure that I see her as often as I can. I guess we all have to go through this at some stage.

Brenden so true .... "hold your loved ones close". Excellent video on that subject mate. On aging I ran one marathon in my early 30's and used to run 5 miles every second day for years and as I got older 3 miles every second day (rain or shine). I retired at 57 years and decided at that time as much as I loved running it was time to walk instead (most days for about 70 minutes at a moderately fast pace) so as to hopefully age graciously! I'm 75 years old now and have not had any health related issues. I know you know but unfortunately many sports played when younger are hard on ones body ... examples being football, soccer, hockey, tennis etc. and cause issues with knees, hips etc. One must weigh the love of sports with the potential damage especially as we get older. Hope you have a great day my friend ... I look forward to your next video. PS I also do push ups every second day combined with about 30 minutes weight training for muscle tone.

hello Brenden, I live in Massachusetts USA and just turned 61 years ago. I had my right hip replaced two years ago because of arthritis. I worked about two years in real bad pain until the procedure. Hip is Like new again and back to normal. I did gain 25 lbs. with the bad hip because of the pain of walking. Back to my ideal weight and always eat correctly and my calisthenics.
Hey Stephen thanks for watching and leaving a comment as I do appreciate it. That's great news about your new hip and that you are feeling much better. I'll let my friend know that's just about to have a hip replacement to make him feel better. And lastly make sure you have a great day today mate 👍
Family is importance, my son and l are in contact just about every day, plus during the summer months we go fishing together, before my dad passed away we all went fishing together, kind of fell out touch with some other family, brother, sister, communication is opening back up, that’s more important than material things, big fall out because l sold my parents home that was willed to me, each 1 of us was in the will, brother and sister was NOT left out, so they both got what was given to them in the will, didn’t talk to me for years.

Families are strange. I don't have kids; I never wanted them. However, I do know what's involved in raising them. My sister imposed her kids on me. I took them to and from school and looked after them for years while she was at work. I think my outlook on family is a product of a very short childhood, my dad died when I was nine and my childhood ended there. I was tasked with looking after my younger sister while my mother went out to work, and fell into the egg cook and bottle washer role. I cared for the Old Lady for the best of ten years, as it was her mortal dread to enter a care home. I don't have any form of relationship with my elder brother and am fast losing respect for my sister as she's now planning her third marriage. I simply haven't the energy or enthusiasm to give to her new relationship. I think modern marriages and long-term relationships are messed up, too many social distractions and external pressures. I find the most pleasure in a good walk, I've cycled and jogged all my adult life, and though I think this may have given some benefit, I'm pretty sure it's more than a little responsible for the aches and pains I get now. All the best your talks and walks are very interesting.
